mjackson126: Thanks. Yeah when he is posed up it wont look so off.

Not sure of the armor on this one. Trying to find an over all texture. Going to pull a bunch of reference and hopefully find something I like.

I love how you finished off the aliens skin with little bumps.
I like how hes sloped over too, i do em like that sometimes myself.

The man? hes pretty accurate.

rouncer: Thanks.

So here is a weapon I have been working on for a long time in the conceptual stages. First it was supposed to be a gauntlet, then a sword, then wrist blades and nothing seemed to fit the character. I think this weapon will fit him very well.

Very Nice work DAnconia:+1:

Blackviking: Thanks. You’re works are very nice as well.

So here is another up. Got a few more accessories to make and then I’m gonna start posing and setting the scene.

wonderful

adampof: Thanks. Still got so much work to do.

Here is my stopping point for tonight. Got to work on the cloth, finalize and establish some more forms. Of course a bunch of other small tweaks along the way.

SolidSnakexxx: Thanks brotha!

Here’s the stopping point for tonight. Fixed some proportions and pushed some forms. Added some details to the cloth.

looking good there… just one thing if i may ? the blade on that pick/axe is kinda spoiling the entire scene cause it looks unfinished… or like it was never touched.

Its coming along very nicely man!! Really like the environment too! U can probably import some plants from another 3D application to add more interest!

I still think u can add more definition to the muscles, especialy around the shoulder and chest area, also maybe define the knee more!

Also dont forget to add nails!! It really shows that hes missing them!

Keep it up! :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

meletis: Hmm, yeah I will probably have to wait til the end to add those striations. I do see your point and how it will add to his strength. I just can’t see it in my head yet.

Here is an up. Rough comp and the flames in the back need some more work. Just wanted to make sure it looked cool. Also gotta add some rim lighting on him to really sell the fire behind him.

Here are my final submissions for this month’s CGChannel.com Digital Sculpting Challenge: Barbarian Glory.

Very happy with the final comp and got the movement and action that I wanted. Thanks to everyone for the comments and critiques. They were very very helpful!

I really dig the sculpt and the pose but I’m not crazy about the flames…I think it detracts way too much attention from the character. It looked better when it was hand drawn because it was blurry and more of a background element. Maybe depth of field to focus more on the character? still, great composition…your stuff always inspires me.
