Same issue. I think it has to do with the new brush engine. Pressing harder and going slower seems to give similar effect to original performance in ZB 3.1
You might play with the brush depth on the Brush pallet to give you alternate strokes.

Yeah, it’s either the new brush engine, or my mac can’t keep up. was noticing even with other brushed i start getting dots if i try and brush too fast.

The Slash3 brush also tends to give a similar effect to dam_standard . . .

Does anyone have a damien standard brush that works in ZB4? I tried the old one and it doesn’t seem to pinch.
