Dale Keown's Pitt

Yeah, that’s the stuff I grew up with. I like that. The extreme pose expresses a lot of dynamic, the only thing that bothers me at the moment are his pants, especially the back, the might need some more definition to fit in the rest of that greatly worked out model.

Cheers “ko’gen”.

Thanks guys. Yeah I’ve been neglecting the pants so far. I gotta get around to them. I just havent decided how I want to do some tears in the pants. Whether I do it all in one subtool or whether I put legs underneath and have it be 2 subtools. We’ll see.

Great teeth!
Brushes 3 times a day?
Floss?

Are the teeth seperate poly structures or is that one solid mesh?

The chains are sweet too

Great work!! Love the face and body

Alex Oliver

Thanks guys. THe teeth are a solid mesh that include the gums. Some pants work.

This is an awesome sculpt, but I wouldn’t want to be the one to ask him, but where are his nipples? (not that I have a fetish of these things, exept on the female frame of course)
Great work.

Jit.

He has none. Heres some shots from the comic book.

hey very nice sculpting

That is really incredible!

I’m really new at Zbrush and I was wondering what sub-division level you are at right now to achieve this kind of detail? Or how many polygons?

I’m still struggling to figure out what forms to do at what level etc. so knowing what other artists poly-count is really helpfull!

Claudio

Thanks for the kind words. Its about 7.2 million polys right now. I have it broken up into pieces so its easier on my system. The torso is like 4.5 million - level 6, the pants are 800,000 - level 6, the teeth are 1 million - level 6, the arm chains are 500,000 - level 2, the feet are like 320,000 - level 6. Claudio I am a fan of your sculpting works as well, I cant wait to see what you start coming up with digitally!

Truely incredible work, spot on.

are you going to add the chains around his ankles?

Wow! Great Work Bryan!!! :+1:

Well I haven’t talked to Dale in a few years, but I think this sculpt would bring a smile to his face. He really has always been a very talented artist.

Bryan I could pick alot of things that need work, but over all I think you got the essence of the character and that is usually very hard for most.

One of my favorite characters as well, I have issue #1 (signed of course) and the same with Dale Keown’s Sketch Book. I don’t actually follow the comics much, but I was always impressed with the work.

Keep going Bryan, this has some serious potential.

You’ve done a terrific job of bringing this character to life. Beautiful sculpt! :+1:

Great, I love it ! It seems that you captured the character very well ! Nice job Bryan !

Really nice sculpt but it’s not really Pitt jet… I think it’s in the jawline. It should be less round.
But besides that I wish I could sculpt like that.

Thank you so much Bryan for the info - that really helps a ton! I really aprecaite your kind words about my work as well: you are very kind!

I remember Dale Keown passing by my table at a con a few years back here in Toronto to take a look at the statues I had on display… he is a really cool guy and I’m pretty sure he would LOVE your rendering of the charachter. He seams to really like sculpture…

Your model is really a fantstic version IMO!

Thank you again for your help and I look forward to seeing the final piece!

Claudio

fantastic sculpt! I really like the muscle definitions under the shoulder and ribcage area! :grimacing: :+1:
