Dale Keown's Pitt

Truely incredible work, spot on.

are you going to add the chains around his ankles?

Wow! Great Work Bryan!!! :+1:

Well I haven’t talked to Dale in a few years, but I think this sculpt would bring a smile to his face. He really has always been a very talented artist.

Bryan I could pick alot of things that need work, but over all I think you got the essence of the character and that is usually very hard for most.

One of my favorite characters as well, I have issue #1 (signed of course) and the same with Dale Keown’s Sketch Book. I don’t actually follow the comics much, but I was always impressed with the work.

Keep going Bryan, this has some serious potential.

You’ve done a terrific job of bringing this character to life. Beautiful sculpt! :+1:

Great, I love it ! It seems that you captured the character very well ! Nice job Bryan !

Really nice sculpt but it’s not really Pitt jet… I think it’s in the jawline. It should be less round.
But besides that I wish I could sculpt like that.

Thank you so much Bryan for the info - that really helps a ton! I really aprecaite your kind words about my work as well: you are very kind!

I remember Dale Keown passing by my table at a con a few years back here in Toronto to take a look at the statues I had on display… he is a really cool guy and I’m pretty sure he would LOVE your rendering of the charachter. He seams to really like sculpture…

Your model is really a fantstic version IMO!

Thank you again for your help and I look forward to seeing the final piece!

Claudio

coming along nicely

Great work! I use to read Pitt back in the day. Nice to see him worked out so nicely into 3D. Hope to see a fully textured and maybe animated one soon?

I am very impressed and very curious as to how you did the chains. If you alrdy mentioned how you did the chains and I missed it just call me stinky and ignore me. The sculpt is incredible, I am excited to see him with his vest on. (Are you doing his vest?) Keep it up! :+1: :+1:

Thanks guys! THe chains were done in 3dsmax. I just created a chain and the used splines and the path deform (wsm) to tell it where to go. Heres an update with revisions to the back

This is an awesome sculpture but, to be honest, the pose seems a bit … feminine. It may be because you went too extreme in the major joint department. I can’t tell you exactly what the issue is except that it has something to do with the bending of the hips, waist and chest. If you look critically, you’ll see what I mean.

Still, awesome modelling, dude.

Cheers,
Revanto :stuck_out_tongue:

Super knarley and quite inspirational!

Very nice modeling dude. I`m loving it.
I’d try to force much more the hands pose. I think that can balance with the tension in the face. Also, maybe you can put him in a more battle pose, like wolverine. That could also help to create tension, and in my modest opinion, fits better for this kind of character.

Anyway, i’m loving it

PD:I’d give him big cowboy boots.

Great work- sorry nothing to critique. Will you being texturing this? Hope so.

Craig

Wow! Really like this. Awesome sculpting, big fan of Dale Keowns art, I’ll keep an eye on this. :+1:

I like very much your modeling, very natural muscle flow ( for super hero type) and nice posture . You can realy feel the weight of his muscles and body mass.

Very impressive sculpt

Btw, how did you make the hair zbrush?
