Curvy3D Open Beta!

You might not have the drivers up to date… Go here to fix, this on most systems:

If you have Nvidia chipset go here:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

If you have ATI go here:
http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html

it looks like Direct X might be crunched also… if the above fails try downloading the newest direct X:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=141d5f9e-07c1-462a-baef-5eab5c851cf5&displaylang=en

also close all other applications that use 3d.

if you are running another direct 3d application, you can run into troubles sometimes…

good luck!

I am haveing alot of fun with it…

Still cant seem to find any data on OBJ export. hope that was not just a shameless plug… OBJ export would really be nice, and save me 3 steps… to bring into Zbrush or Truespace.

I love Curvy!

Been doodleing with it every spare minuet I can get…
A very unique tool indeed! very fast and easy to use…
The manual is very small , a person can go over it in an hour or so I would estimate…

Plus the price is totaly right!

It has some really neat new features…that lets you mold 1 model out of multiple models…

I am totaly facinated by this tool…

think I am going to try to find a command line conversion tool from .X or .3DS to .OBJ files…

then I can just point it at a directory of .3DS files and have them batch converted…

think I may have seen a blender Python script that dose this.

Let’s be honest, as nice as ZBrush is it is not built for real-time 3D content creation.
talk about meglomania.

Just because you cant do it , dosent mean it is not possible.

There are some VERY big game companies useing Zbrush.

your statement it totaly absurd.

Curvy3D exports to OBJ so you can bring your shapes into ZBrush for more detailing.

, etc.

this also is untrue… Simon says it is in the plans though!

Curvy is a very good program!

I love all the new possibilitys it opens up for me.

A must see for every CG artist!
