Crystal Hunter

Wonderful work. Five stars here.

I just calibrated my monitor and your skin color is excellent. I don’t agree about the pink. It is a little too saturated though.

Being a lifelong enthusiast, my only suggestion would be that the rifle would usually be held in positioned so that when it is raised it would be in the position to fire. As it is now, it would be nearly upside down (trigger on top instead of on the bottom) when raised.

Congratulations on top row. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

superb work! I really enjoy your texture job.

Congrats on top row! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: !

Excellent Sculpt  !

Wow! What a big surprise! Thank you all (Codeman, jaystein777, SolidSnakexxxfor, Strangehighways, Dman3D, Etcher, Karthik.AL, 3mm, ncollings, Nattawat_OBBI, tokio, eldee.s, adrien) for the encouragements!

Ben Greenwood > I think that the sculpting process is very natural and easy. The single problem is the fact that don’t have a “smooth” mesh and you can see the very little polygons when rotate the model. It’s a bit disturbing…
EricArtman > I am glad if you are intrigued by this character… Maybe it’s just a story about survive and the search for crystals. Like everyone of us…
prosthetix > I try to have a better resolution for the normalmap and for that I split the character in different part: the bust, the legs and hand, the turban, the shouder etc. And after that I sculpt each part separately and recomposed in 3ds max.
Wombal > I just want to be more vivid!
selwy > Thx man! I studied with great attention your human sculptures… you are the best!
Leshiy3d > It’s an good idea… will keep in mind for the next works.
Liam H > I use mentalray with FG and a mr spot for rendering. For materials I use sss for skin, arhitectural mr material for the crystal and juat standard materials for the rest of objects.
Blaine91555 > Yes, this is a very good advise! But I accept this position only for this composition… I don’t like the hunting procedure too!

I would really like to know if this character has a story behind him? If he does please share that with us! Can you show us the base sculpt?

Friggin sweet

I enjoyed viewing this model. I overall model is very good and the texture, rendering/ light is great. I would have like to see more of a hunters pose. I also think that the back muscles aren’t totally right in certain areas. I would have to see more renders… but wow great job.

Good render :+1:

Awesome character! He’s looks like a mix of many different cultures and the detail was done perfectly. Excellent job! :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

… a break from the monsters!

beautiful work :+1:

Really cool character! I like the attention to detail with his gear and tattoos. The gold inlay on the musket is very nice too.

WOW!! Now that’s a killer render and sculpt! Crazy cool effect on the gem!!Top Row work!!

Looks great. But I’d say his skin tone looks a little pink considering he looks like he’s from a desert like environment.:+1:
