I was referring to the new features in ZB 3.5 but im not sure what version you are using. http://www.pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/ It should be the second from the top on the left side.
Did you use a decimated mesh or any normals/displacement? I am curious to know what rendering engine you used. Amazing work.
Top Row ! ! !
Hi Rick, I was just wondering what alphas did you use to get the little details, It looks fantastic!
Thanks guys,
The alphas that I used I made. Just painted white on black background.
Nothing special .I also used some of the default alphas . The one that is a bunch of dots and the one with four so lines. I don’t have ZB open at the moment or I would give you their numbers. I think more than the alphas it is how you use them and how much time you spend on the model. A lot of the work is just done with alpha 36 and I just zoom in really close to the model and sculpt texture. I must say that I am starting to tire of that though.
I didn’t decimate the mesh I rendered with a displacement map.
Trying to get this guy finished .Keep going back and forth between Modo and ZB making subtle changes , but it is getting to the point where I can’t tell if it is getting better or worse.
Hey Rick! Just wanted to drop in and say how awesome this is turning out! The close up shot holds up really great!
Man, this is a close up. Extreme awesome.
Yeah that’s a definite sign to let it rest for a few days
Wow.
Just had to add my two cents! This is really Great work!! (as usual) Are you sure this is a WIP? LOL
Great to see you and your work again!

Quite possibly one of the best dracula sculpts I’ve seen… Excellent work as usual! I love all the detail in the sculpt as well as your execution of form and volumes in your sculpt are second to none! Truely a great inspiration to me!!
Keep it up! small_orange_diamond:D
Thanks everyone . I decided to get away from the sculpt and work on the render a bit added eyebrows and lashes with Modo fur. I want to get this guys presentable by the end of the weekend because I have to start concentrating on Halloween. I still have a lot of sculpting to do on him. I appreciate the kind words it helps give me momentum.
That is scary as hell!
Making major leaps from any of your previous digital work sir. Truly impressive.
You always do such a great job on eyes, Rick. How are you getting that wet meniscus where the eyelids meet the eyeball? Is that just a thin strip of geometry with a water shader on it?
Thanks,
Dustin
gosh I really have to give that Modo renderer a go - the brows look great!
very very nice
Those are some really impressive eyes. Feels like a frame from a Hollywood film noir.
I really like that close-up. It is intimidating. Makes me uncomfortable, which is great.
On the technical side, the eyebrows are pretty sweet too.
Nice job!
Wow. …Thats all.
