Your implied copyright runs under your real name as well as any other monikers you would use. If you sign your pics with Envoken it is ā€œunderstoodā€ to be swappable with your real name. Same difference.

Copyright laws (in the States) take effect the minute you ā€œsaveā€ your artwork to your harddrive. That is considered published. Personally, if I feel uncomfortable, I go ahead and spend the $30 bucks to get a cert of copyright (the certification allows you to list all artist names applicable to the piece)

It is incredibly important to understand one thing about copyrights. They are only as powerful as the amount of effort YOU are willing to put behind the label.

Copyright infringement happens EVERYDAY, particularly on the internet and the international scene. You either accept it or spend BIG $$ fighting it. You have to be willing to back that little ā€œcā€. The law will not stand in your stead.

BTW: I donā€™t have alot of fear/respect for watermarks. Iā€™ve got Maya PLE and am quite able to ā€œeliminateā€ the watermark in postproduction in Photoshop! (Thanks Adobe!!!)

Personally I thought that every image you make is copyrighted anyway. If you made in image in photoshop , you can always prove itā€™s yours if you still have the PSD file with the layers for example. I dont really know how you could prove a Zbrush image is yours unless you made a Zscript for it. :slight_smile:

Thereā€™s always the *.zbr file to prove that the image is yours. It would be the same deal as having a *.psd image with the layer information.

im not sure what water mark does but what about puting your name right in the center or all over it soooooo small the naked eye canā€™t see it.

I hate to tell you this, but i can read it with my naked eye, try harder next time, its hard to write too small for me, i got better then 20/20 eyes :smiley:

are you saying you can read the one on top or the one on the bottom? The one on the bottom is easy, but if you can read the top one you must have REALLY amazing vision!

like i said puting your name right in the center or (all over it)
if you took every name out and if it was all over the image you would have no image right?.
for the person with better then 20/20 if you double zoom the zoomed image there was a hidden message did you see it?..
if not you might need your eyes checked.
now how many people go around zooming imagesā€¦
i can write the text 10 times as small with no problem if you think about it very simple.
i See said the Blind madeā€¦
now go out and get some 3D Glasses to see the other message because you wont be able to tell when zoomed :smiley:
to read the orignal you would have to be wearing them pop bottle Glasses with a bandaid straped in the middle holding them togeather .

well it might not be tonight im waiting on some inside info but i got it plained all ready in my head im 90% percent it should do the trick.
so keep zooming and keep them 3D glasses handy mawhahahahaha :smiley:
oh and no telling you might need a infared lazer scope on the next image LOL

hehe I could also see the EZ in the top image before it was zoomed in ;).

Personally I just make an effort to keep all of my documents and tests of the image. That way if the topic were to ever come up. I have all the files; all the sketches; all the tests, the .zbr file. And what do they have? One .jpg file :wink:

I donā€™t know if this would work at all But can you type your name and the tittle of the work in the actual pic.I mean if you open the pic in a text prog could you do this without it changing your pic?
Just a thought?
