Very nice job you did here! Your perspective and composition speaks by it self. I would like to learn this kind of technique of matte painting. I guess it’s pretty much the same when painting on a canvas using oils, which you build up your colors in layers. I think it’s kinda the same thing here, but what confuses me sometimes is which method to use; using opasity, or using darker or lighter colors? Also sometimes when painting in digital sometimes I dont know when a layer it’s pretty much done and step up to the next one.

Its great to see this sort of work on the forum…and i must agree with TVeyes a big scene full of 3D objects often looks stiff, no dynamics…2D art looks more alive and the elements more in harmony, and the “unfinished” sketchy look is in the end more pleasing to the eye then all the “dead” perfection that you see in full 3D-work !
