Hey Belleski, long time no hear!
The ‘build box’ that this machine works inside is 10" X 8" X 8"…So fundamentally that would be the maximum size for a piece, but in actuality, you would be limited to 8.5" to 9" high or thereabouts…

dont know what i missed above, but glad i did, stonecutter, great informative thread(40 odd replys in the com. furum?) my post i thought was related as for the making of busts, real character figurines and in no way
intended to tarnish your thread good luck in your venture!
No prob, Gary!
In fact, you’ve made great contributions to the thread, and to the forum in general, from what I’ve seen…
The Lady Simone and I have actually been discussing the idea of offering portrait busts, utilizing a 3D scanner to input the data set…Obviously you could acheive a great likeness, especially with airbrush work, following a photo reference. In Victorian times, portrait busts were a common art form, but it would be nice to revive them…
(And you wouldn’t HAVE to stick to the actual form…You could add ‘props’ to the bust before printing…Elf ears anyone?)

SC, sounds like you’re all set up for a retro-futuristic cottage industry
Nicely put, Havran!
But then again, I have never worked for anyone else in my almost 56 years on the planet anyway, so I’ve been a ‘Cottage Industry’ all along…
The technology has just caught up with my visions finally.
(And it’s ABOUT time!!
)
pass on the elf ears, but you might talk me into a dolly p bust, would that fit?one at a time?
Hi Stonecutter,
I stumbled across this site offering a 3d model to real world model service. Don’t know if you’ve seen it but thought you might find it interesting. There max limit is also 8"x8"x10".
3D art to part website
Thanx TVEyes!
I had seen that one, but appreciate the thought…
I think they’re using the same equipment I intend to purchase. I have had this project in mind for years, it’s just a matter of the technology now reaching a point where the financing of the work is at least beginning to become feasible for an individual!
Stonecutter are you set up in Stereolithography yet?
I’m so glad I finally found this post…
TVEyes: thanks a bunch for that link
