The neck feels slightly on the masculine side, I’m afraid.
Jerick- You are probably right, arms too. I tend to over define the muscles and then go back and soften them. There has been something about the face that is wrong but I can’t put my finger on it. Thanks for the comment.
I am really liking the improvements to Zbrush 4R2, but I still have so much to learn. I spent some time working on old models, and I am only posting this Dark Elf character. I started by making the mesh more stylized sort of Sean Galloway-ish, but as I push and pulled using some old Burne Hogarth references, the model took on a hybrid realistic/cartoony quality, that I kind of like. Who knows maybe I will make the time to actually finish this one.
I spent some time refining the model. I am not all that pleased with everything I did however. For instance, the elbow needs more work, the thigh is probably too long again, the pectoral muscles do not overlap correctly, and the trapezius is too puffy. Unfortunately, I probably won’t have a chance to fix those anytime soon, so I am noting the issues here so I won’t forget. At least while I am not working on him I can concept the gear, I was thinking Assassin leathers, and a fancy dagger, something along the lines of my Dark Soul’s character, which I love, because we have endured so much together
.Though it still looks similar to the last female post, it represents a significant amount of rework. I suppose the similarity is a testament to anatomical flaws popping up again. I think I will stop here, delete all higher subdivisions and start again.
Here is a little posed version.
