cool, looks totally badass!
really like the design,
but i think the armor looks a bit to “shiniy and new” need a bit more rust and deformation

gwainbarek: Thanks! It’s hard to see in the last render, but the boots do have pretty much rusty-bumps on them. But I agree, I think I might need to enhance it a bit more using more than just alphas. Thanks for the input!
looking really nice
can’t wait to see it textured and rendered:D
“five thumbs up !” - dhasian.
Started texturing the head. Havent touched the eyes, teeth or the thorns yet…
This thing is coming along awesomely!!
great char !
awesome, love hellboy and mignola’s designs, really like what you did with it.
how did you get that wet edges sort of look on the dark blue stripes? with a alpha or did you just repaint over the edges?
hey chris!
glad to see you back on this.
very nice start on the texturing. did you use the gradient function to get the dark edges?
-r
dude, that is awesome!
Thanks guys! (girls perhaps?) Always great to get positive feedback. Makes you wanna work harder.
spaceboy412; rasmusW: Sorry to burts the bubble, but it’s not textured in Zbrush if that was what you’re asking? The wet edges was made simply using drop shadow and inner shadow layer effect in photoshop. Saves lots of time if you need to redo some of the stripes, which I will do since it’s now symmetrical.
Looking most awesome!!! Very well done. Keep it up
it’s really starting to look great
Ok, so after finishing up the Star Trek inspired character, I thought I’d continue on my berserker from Hellboy. Here’s a fairly quick render from Maya with Mental Ray. Wanted to try the fur feature and see how that goes. There’s still a bit to do on the texture and shader for the head. The teeth and horns haven’t gotten any textures on them yet, but I’ll fix that tomorrow.
Cool, used Zbrush4?
Nope, Zbrush 3.5. Old school.
This is sweet, man! Can’t wait to see it done.
great sculpt! you managed to execute the likeness flawlessly. I really like the armored shoes, such a cool design those hellboy artists have.
