Could you explain how you achieve the gold look. Are you using a gold material in zbrush and baking the material to a texture or something else? What is your process?
Awesome work by the way!
Amazing work!! Really dig how the textures are precise on the lowpoly

hey
Thank you all for the wonderful comments
actually for the textures i used Joseph Drust’s technic
http://www.pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/
i baked my high res texture on my lowres one with a Zbrush matcap (gold).
We can get some quite nice result
Thank you all !
Ced
Cedric,
Bravo. Exceptional texturing work.
I am working on a game character for the battle of Leuthen set in the 1750s.
One of the uniforms that I am working on in Zbrush is very similar to your wool coat.
I am having a hardtime getting the colour and the texture right.
Could you please give me a few pointers about your workflow for
a) the French blue woolen coat and the red woolen collar and
b) the excellent canvas material and texture for the crossbelts?
Thanks and Regards
Fred
Really nice work love the style. 5 stars!!
Thanks for the reply Ced! I looked at the tutorial you mentioned for the matcap, however, I have a question. How do you get it to work with Z4? It looks like this tutorial was done with Z3. The process is slightly different now for assigning the texture to the image plane or PolyMesh3d. Adjusting the displacement intensity always turns the texture map on and therefore you can’t see the different matcaps being applied to the mesh until you turn of the texture and/or displacement maps. Can you explain the difference in the process now to get it to behave like it does in the tutorial?
Thanks!
very nice work
Regards
Fantastic work!
luv your compositing
Hey
It’s been a while, quite busy these days but still have some time to play around with the beast !
Special character for you Jaime
Everything was done in Z, Concept VS Retopo VS Polishing VS ColorConcept
textures in Mud and renders in Marmoset (Low Mesh, real Time)
(deeply inspired of District 9 ;))
For the background, it’s a power supplier… his goal is walk around to provide Energy for people who needs (cars, objects, etc.)
Thanks
