Thankyou
Fabulous picture aurick !!
I can’t say more and great tut.
Thank you sooo much.
great rocks, I like the sharp edges
Marvelous Aurick! When I saw the title this is exactly what sprang to mind first! Great imagery and the plants are fantastic!
Awesome work man!
And very thanks for the step by step
Very Surreal Image. Extremely well done.
Thank you so much for the step by step. It was
fascinating to see how it all came to life. Really generous of you and a super learning tool.
*I wish that the head had been created in ZBrush too…Poser heads are too flawless
and therefore lack character.
Overall a truly stunning image and beautiful concept.
It’s been a few days since I’ve gone through the recent work here at the Central and I havn’t commented on how beautiful everything is that’s getting posted. But,back on track, I would like to say that this concept and the work behind it came out just great. Your colors are very brilliant where they need to be as well as subtle where that should happen. The modeling is as good as anything I’ve ever seen anywhere. (if not better). And on a personal note this one appeals to me because of the concept alone. I’ve seen pictures that depicted hair turning into a waterfall and and I’ve always liked that idea. Some portray it better than others. Your’s would fit into the “better” catagory.
Great work
Thank you, all. I’m glad that you like this one. It’s one of my own personal favorites.
Since you liked the step-by-step presented this way, I’ll try to do more like it on future projects. This marked a first for me in that I saved the project in stages as I worked, which made it very easy to go back and get the pics of the earlier steps.
This is no where as good as yours Aurick, but was inspired by you ~s~ a wip obviously. Now that I’ve seen your step by step I’ll have to start this over. I did get to play with my leaf I scanned in. ~G~ Thanks for the tut and beautiful image to inspire and frustrate me. ~L~
I could see this done as a Mural on the side of a building.
Absolutely amazing. Amazing. I love this picture, Aurick. I can’t say it enough. Bravo!
times infinity.
that picture is really supa doopa !!!. It is definatly taking prime position on my zbuds wall of inspiration in my room.
Superb contribution !!! .There’s a few
people, on this forum I’d like 2 combine
abilities with ,2 make one MOFO Image, and your 1 of them Bud !
fantastic image and thanks for the in depth step-by-step, it’s always interesting to see how people make their pics.
Naturally, a StoneCutter has to comment on those rocks, Matthew…The contours and material of these are extremely well-done, and believable, and the spray effect with them is the perfect touch to unify the image!
I think that’s the most in-depth and complete step-by-step ever shown. And what a beautiful image. I like the way her shoulder turns into the rock as well as the hair waterfall. Is this Mother Nature? I’m glad you say this is a personal favorite, because that means you will be doing more like this
DLee – I’m flattered! That is a very nice WIP that you have going, and is definitely inspired in its own right. I’m looking forward to seeing where you take it.
ztevie-rae – It would probably be very interesting to see what you and I cooked up if we went to work on somthing. Hmmm…
Michael – I knew YOU of all people would like the rocks the most.
Zoid – I’m glad that you liked the Step-by-Step. And yes, this is a style that I will definitely continue to develop. The juxtaposition of disparate-yet-similar items has always fascinated me in art.
Everyone else – Thank you! I’m so glad that you’ve enjoyed this piece.
a sensational thread following a sensational masterpiece… kudoskudoskudos, Matthew!!!
Well Done Matthew,
A finely balanced image with an illuminating process walkthru. I’d like to see more “step by step” with this level of detail! We all have our own methods to our madness - yours was a pleasure to read
