Thanks mate! Yes, it is the same painting you are thinking of
Outstanding, I really love how well you’ve sculpted the draped cloth in particular, wonderful work.
Thank you! I really appreciate it
Just a couple more close-ups bare in mind that the hair in Zbrush is a placeholder put together for a couple of minutes as the final one was made using Maya hair. I can’t wait to experiment with the new fiber mesh though!
Thanks a lot for the great feedback guys!

Hey Ogy,
Very cool work, finally something different from monsters and creatures in this forum. Good Job especially the chair it’s very well done
Seems like it’s not your first time doing drapery, what’s your workflow?
Bests
Luciano
Thanks Luciano
My workflow is pretty straight forward. I started with a simple basemesh, shaped it and added some detail. Then I retopologized it and refined it by adding more detail.
Cheers,
Ogy
I really love it!
The major difference between the old painting and yours is the third dimension.
Do you plan to make a little camera move?
Or a stereo 3D picture?
Very nice render - I love this NPR painting style.
Is there any chance to get a hint how to achieve this with mental ray?
Anyway - Excellent work!
Thanks a lot
I don’t intend to render any sort of animation as it would take too long and I am tired of this piece anyway. I am already working on a new project testing the new Zbrush features which are really fun!
As far as the rendering of this scene goes there is nothing fancy about it Simple FG with image lighting and some other lights placed around the scene. Their settings are pretty much standard and I’ve done some light linking in order to achieve this look.
The rest of the look comes from the textures and shading. I used mia_material_x for the sating and other cloth in the scene with a ramp plugged into the reflection.
It was really a matter of tweaking all these in order to achieve the final look.
Cheers,
Ogy
