Some of these images are so different to what everyone else does with Zbrush - your techniques are amazing.:+1:

Thanks for posting, and I can’t wait to see what you do with Zbrush 3!

Jit.

I would really like to see the models of the last picture without textures

Cral, if you mean the last two pictures, on revolution historic clothes, no, no… I’ve said that it was pictures “composited”, I mean with a lot of “sources”, photos, painting, and that the main software was here photoshop… but the clothes are an application of zbrush 2, 5; for example, the pant of the revolution man, his jacket, are plain color, just imported on a 3d plane, and worked with different alphas, to get a sort of “3d look”, even if it’s like a medal… it’s not 3d, full 3d, but it’s really effective to get parts of that sort of pictures!.. for example, I join a picture of the plane used for the pant… the material, once colored, was some like toy plastic, without specular, but with color bump… and of course, not just a red splash… you see, with very rasant lights, you can light up a 2.5 “thing” like that, and get a rather convincing look mixable with photo, or precise painting… of course, it’s a marginal technique, but a very very “speedy” one!pant.jpg

Great, great work Marcel!

…(french revolutionary song)
Cool illustrations:)

Interesting technique, very similar to one I used for game character clothing textures some months ago, only that it was made in Photoshop alone. I built kind of a “poor man’s ZBrush” with layer effects there to apply the foldings on top of the other patterns. Although overall a bit intricate, I could use layers in a fashion not available in ZBrush (up to now at least).

Anyway, I have to agree, very great pictures there, marcel. I’d really like to hear more about how each one was made.

Delightful additions to a great thread:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Do stick around - I’ve missed you.

Awesome stuff Marcel! :+1: :+1: Thanks for sharing! Hope to see your great style on Z3 soon;)
