This came out nice man. I definitely prefer the more desaturated look and the eyes fit better with the adjustments you made.
Finished my adjustments on Wolverine… think his anatomy looks much more natural… dig it more overall…
Overall I like what I’m seeing in this thread. My personal favorite is Manji, though I feel the lighting is a little too dark and the shadows a tad too harsh. Softer contrast would do very well there. The overall design is very good though.
Logan is looking great! Now that you refined so much the hair is starting to look out of place and “slapped” on. I am always a little worried about doing hair but then once I get into it things start turning out better than I thought. Each time it gets better, probably because you can just work at it instead of being worried about hitting very specific landmarks.
A little while ago, I started taking an hour (give or take) a day without fail, to devote to sculpting…
Here’s a few from the past few days.

I hope I’m not mistaken when I say that Manji is from Blade of The Immortal?
I like that piece. It looks amazing to me.
Hey, nice looking sculpts, the woman model would be nicer if you added coils around her neck, and sculpt some wrinkles and aging, because, I think at this stage of ‘elongation’ she would be a lot older looking. I mean if you were going to go back to this one.
Hey, I just realized, I sort of know you, haha, I’m Nick from Digital Roar.
outstanding
Nice thread. Especially Chuck Bronson!!!
@remcv8: Thank you very much… Charlie was a labor of love!
@Eiad: Very kind! I dig your Ogre model/render!
@nleewy9 (Nick): Hey man! Speak of the Devil, I just wrapped up some play testing for DR a few moments ago… I’m sick so I had to cut it short… (won two games though ) As for the women bust… this wasn’t supposed to be representative of anything realistic, such as the tribal ladies with the rings around their necks… this was my stab at something more sculptural and exaggerated… taking care to avoid some of the usual techniques I tend to apply. I’m finding that currently it can be actually more of a challenge for me to sculpt a clean and smooth (beautiful) model than an aged/weathered/wrinkly one… Thanks for the comments!
@Tentationem: You are correct sir! I’m a big Blade of the Immortal fan… Manji is so badass…
45 min sculpt from a zplane…
Wow, that looks epic. Uh, maybe this is asking too much, but can you direct me to some very noob tutorials? <3
Yeah, I haven’t kept up with the manga. I feel like reading it after looking at your version of him!
Nice!
Brojay, these are awesome man! You have a nice little, quick workflow going on there. The female is very interesting, you can almost see a face with the breasts and a nose cavity where the hair criss crosses.
Very cool stuff, hope you feel better soon.
staring at her breasts for to long!!
really nice work brojay!.. really like the idea of just working from a plane to make a quick abstract piece!
Thanks guys (gals?)
@Tentationem there’s quite a bit of tutorials all over the web… including this site… If you’re completely in the dark… I recommend Digital Tutors… Many of their courses address beginners and should get you up and running… There is also Gnomon Workshop… which has amazing courses and DVDs available… but from my experience, tends to tread a little more towards those with at least some working knowledge of the software… if you have that… and can swing it… hit it up! There’s also books such as Scott Spencers Zbrush Character Creation series… that you can grab for a song off Amazon…
resources everywhere if you’re willing to put in the time and effort
quick sculpt from the other day… nothing fancy… just for fun.
another quickie… doodle… whatever…
Great sculpting and colors with the Asian influences. Great originality!!!
