Björk

this is a really great caricature of Björk!

I’d love to see it with a bullet hole through her head since she’s a lame lsd using brain-fried ass who beats up press people at airports and makes crappy music and raising children in that kind of atmosphere, but that has nothing to do with this awesome sculpt!

I do think the bottom of the dress is a bit too much for the cartoony face and body though.?

Now that is really awesome work all around!

Not just a wonderful piece of sculpting but also a unique painterly feel to the finish. Care to elaborate a bit on how you rendered her?

Nice!! You’ve got a great sense of how far to push things with your charicatures. Good post work on the hair as well.

Absolutely cool caricature :sunglasses:

Eonsuu, poda: Much appreciated  oR_Creeper: I doubt it, but thanks for saying so! Displaced: I hope to post something as soon as I get the chance–please keep watching. Frenchy Pilou: Not yet, but who knows? +Big love to everyone else who’s been kind enough to respond as well. Peas.

The dress kills me. Guess everyone remembers when she used it. And you captured it in a toonerificly perfect way. 5 from me. :+1:

very cute!

the dress attracts me a lot

great ! love the colors !

nice cartoony figure…nice expression…which movie she is crowning now…great :+1:

Lovely work. She’s spot on. 5 stars from me!!! (If I can figure out how to vote on this thing) :+1:

I love the amount of personality in this render. Great job!

LOL! This is adorable! Very cute!

Excellent work mate. I love Bjork and I love when someone captures her rebel spirit so well. This dress is a real Bjork icon, and was very well done like everything else. Thanks for bringing a big smile to my face today

i love the pose:+1: , but i dont like the makeup though, but i guess this is necessary, since its a caricature:roll_eyes:
can you tell us more about your process? (I am especially interested in the sculpting of the hair and the skirt, as i am quiete new to zbrush)

Good work, Dude. Awesome caricature.:+1:

Great to see your work up on the top row! And I, for one, like your makeup. Great stuff!!!

thank you .
she has a nice attitude.

Giantsun, 3dommi, nofounture, skull-monster; Thanks very much!

Stephenrminkin, scott2753, jramauri, -Much appreciated!
Sunhutzu, piman_fall, -Thank you!
Roganski- Cheers buddy!
Friggi: both the hair and skirt started off outside of zbrush: For the hair I created a series of profile curves in Maya, which were lofted to create a sort of helmet and then exported to zbrush for sculpting.
For the frills on the skirt:
I first created a flat, donut/ring shaped plane in Maya (with about 120 radial spans) and manipulated alternate edge vertices to create a wavy-edged effect.
Then I duplicated this ring shape a number of times for each layer and scaled each as appropriate -(taking care to avoid any obvious intersecting geometry).
Then these rings were merged into a single piece of geometry and exported to zbrush for further shaping and sculpting to fit the character (mostly using a large move-brush)… -I hope that makes sense
