Migaloo and his family.

I am interested in nature and ocean and inspired very much.
As I saw a characteristic and looks of cretures in the sea, I got amazed and can’t wait to express this feeling. This shot is one of these works. I tried to express my own realism and colors what is a little bit diffrent from real world.

Creatures I made this time are humpback whale and migaloo(=the rare white whale).
They are unique and mistic creatures and always show up with family.

Excellent work all around, the modeling, texturing and rendering a top notch, you have a lot of talent. Love your sea animals.
On a side note, do you know there is a hardcore modeling challenge currently running on CGSociety under the them ‘‘The Oceans’’? I tought I would let you know since you definively seems to like ocean creatures.

It must get old having everyone say “AWESOME”, “BEAUTIFUL”, … lol … well it IS! Nice work.

My only suggestion for the whales that would help I think is add some more caustics in front of the area near the camera - just very subtle - so they look underwater there as well:).:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

oh these are grand and gorgeous! I wish we could make these models and make them live to swim in the seas or live in forests.

The humpbacks look awesome. They are amazing creatures and you really captured their essence in your sculpt.
My only crit is that the size of the sharks in the background image are too large. Humpbacks average 40 - 50 feet in length where as a fully grown hammerhead or great white average between 11 - 15 feet.
But still, cool pieces.

That is dead on accurate. Some rays of light coming through the water would be nice.
