Bad Girl

Man thats awesome!!
keep posting!
Cheers!

beautiful works…

Great character. Spank her ;D

Thanks for the comments everyone!

ahtiandr: Until I moved house recently, I’d been going to a life drawing session every week for about 2 years. I can’t recommend it highly enough from a character modelling point of view because all the skills to do with anatomy and proportion that you pick up through observation and drawing are directly applicable to 3D. Also, when I started out I was absolutely rubbish, but my aim was to try to train my brain to understand forms and poses rather than draw beautiful pictures. If you practise that for long enough, I guess as a by-product the standard of your drawings improves.

Oustanding modeling.:grimacing:
Cloth sculpting is simply amazing.
The two of them go directly in my reference folder.
Congrats. Inspiring work.

Hey Richard! nice to see you posting again! nice work, both models are great! i really like the design on the girl! what are you up to lately?

Congratulations on a couple of really lovely sculpts. The girl has got bags of character, and the folds and creases are wonderfully observed. I Like the design of her outfit too - did you design it yourself or base it on something you saw?

As for the farmer - see above! Great work.

Nolan_R: Her clothing is mostly based on the womens GStar summer 2008 range, so I can’t much credit for the design!

Alex: You have PM!

Fair play - had it been your design I would have suggested there might be a career in fashion design waiting for you!

Awesome sculpts all the same

These are some great looking sculpts! Thanks for sharing with us all!

Might I make one suggestion. On your eyes, if you take the cornea and the pupil area and pull them in (going the opposite direction that you have it right now, it will make the eyes look a little more natural as a sculpture.

Great work though I was really impressed with the turnip farmers pose/gesture and the over all sculpt quality!

Peace-NickZ.

awesome stuff man, you really understand how fabrics react to movement, and thats a hard to learn skill, and pretty damn useful.

At the moment im sculpting a pants of a guy thats crouching, any tips that could be helpful?

great sculpts here!! congratulations for the top row

Alex Oliver

great job! I agree that you should invert the center of the eyes, they are sticking out as if a she’s a surprised cartoon.

I’m curious as to your timing during modeling. Do you start symmetrical, then pose, then add wrinkles? Maybe you do some wrinkles first, then pose, then adjust?

Fantastic work. Really like the turnip character and the clothes of the woman. Congrats for the top row :+1:

Totally awesome :+1: :+1: :+1:

Love all, especially the woman…
Amazing sculpt :grimacing: , really inspiring…

Could u share a tutorial on how to make the clothes please??? :o
I’m trying to sculpt the clothes for my model, but never satisfied with it  .
I’m really curious how u did the clothes, thanks…

great works ! really love the pose of girl !

Fantastic characters and beautiful sculpting. Clearly you have a career in 3D in your future (or your present perhaps?).

The woman is very cool, a modern day resistance fighter maybe?
Perhaps her face is a little coarse compared to her slinky figure and outfit. I think a finer nose and a little refinement of the lower eye area, as well as Nick’s suggested adjustment of the eyes will give you the cool, urban look you want.

(NICK: could you elaborate a little on the eye model, or point to an existing tut? I know I’ve seen one here, but can’t remember where. It’s such an important feature and most often the one that gives a CG character away).

The turnip farmer is a sheer delight! I just love him. The gesture, mood, and sense of humour in him are just so fluent you make it look easy. Also your command of hands is wonderful. Clearly a result of the figure drawing which, you are correct, is indispensible to any sort of artist, but more so to those hoping to accurately portray the figure and it’s endless nuances of pose and gesture.

Fantastic work mate, look forward to seeing some more, and I second the call for a tut on your fabric techniques which are just excellent.

nice models,i really love your attention to folds and cloth work:)

keep posting:)

Hello Mr. Smith,

Compliments for your work: your video reel is great. In particular I like your Azazel monster.

“Bad Girl” is amazing too, and very detailes: her gress, especially the jacket is a piece of art, very well modeled.

Ciao,
Mattia
