this is really great stuff, congratz on working on such cool stuff.

Nice!!!

Salut
Amazing stuff! I can see you got better since the time
you had posted AC2 characters  IMO the last two
soldiers/guardians and C. Borgia are the best

May I ask three little questions?

How many subtools there are in the final sculpt
(for example Borgia’s), and what is the average
amount of polys of them (i mean of all the subtools,
not just single one)?

And this may be a silly question for you, but I’ve never
been to much into gamedev, so I do not know that.
Do you retopologize your models after zbrush sculpting?
Or do you apply maps and textures to the basemesh
you had previously created?

Cheers

very cool!!!

cool

:+1:

I can’t take it anymore… What program did you do your texturing in? I love to texture and it’s absolutely stunning! I’m sure I am not the only one
who would like to know…

Please share! =)

Your work is amazing!!!

I can answer for ncollings. He used 3ds max, zbrush(zapplink), photoshop and xnormal.

thanks guys

Rox29: well you can count one subtool by object, so for cesare i don’t maybe 10. And for the polycount by subtool it ranges between 200k to 2 millions depending of the objetc. As for the last question, yes I retopologize the models after the zbrush sculpting.

Stormi: i simply use photoshop for the texturing. For the head i use bodypaint for the diffuse (not zapplink). The normal map/ Occlusion is baked with xnormal and i also use crazybump for extra details in both the normal map and the diffuse map.

Thank you ncollings…

GREAT WORKS MATE:+1:

I ve never been the 3d forum lurking type of guy and i rarely posted anything i did. But since Nic asked me to post some of the work i did for assassin s creed brotherhood and there seems to be quite a buzz surrounding the game i said why not… so here goes …

How do you manage to make them 6000 tris?! Also how do you fake the thickness of say the belt with only 1 strip of polies. You seem to get the correct thickness for cloth where I would get a paper thin thickness.

Congratulations markyboy your work really looks good! :+1:
