ok, a quick update. My latest work, just a little zbrush and a lot of c4d. Break out your glasses for this one! concept art by van gogh!
Found some time to grind away at the Fink, put in a few details and painted some parts. It is time to bring him into Maya and have some fun!
Schooling is getting in the way of my Zbrushing, but got to mess around for Halloween!

Nice color and comp. I think you should add some texture to the branch. I understand it is stylized, but I still feel it shouldn’t be totally smooth. I like your bird.

@Mr-NYM Hmm, I guess a little more texture could not of hurt. Maybe a porous feel and a few bumps on the branch. I do tend to avoid putting bumps and micro detail on stuff, maybe a little out of fear.

I like that skeleton with the cigarette piece,…came out nice
My favorite so far though, is the bird on the branch…Would be fun to see a small series of those, with maybe a different kind of bird in each one, maybe even showing a different season in each one,…like winter, sping ,summer, and fall type of thing…Would be a good color practice, and composition experiment.
Some of the old Chinese Masters did some really beautiful silk paintings similar to yours…Would be nice I think, and interesting also to see similar types of pieces done using ZBRUSH…Just a passing thought that may be useful to you somewhere along the line…
Anyway, …keep posting, and progressing…Looking forward to seeing more of your works…
