Hi ,

I have been getting the same error for the last 4 hours . I had downloaded a latest trial version yesterday and installed it. It was running fine till this afternoon and afterwards it has been saying that :

“Zbrush is unable to communicate with the Pixologic servers in order to verify your license. The software cannot be run until this is resolved.”

I have not changed anything in my system. It was working fine and I just happened to quit it and restart it and I have been facing this issue. I have tried switching on/off my system and router and also changing internet connection.

Can you please help.

UPDATE: Pixologic tech support replied to me and said their servers are currently down, and they are working to get them back up.

I am having the same problem as MayankSharma. Trial version was working fine yesterday but can’t communicate with the server today. Internet connection is fine. It also won’t work when I disable my firewall. Any help with this issue is appreciated!

The licensing servers have been down all day. It affects activation of the Trial as well as any other product.

Our IT team is working on it but I don’t have an ETA regarding when it will be resolved.

Is this a regular thing…license server being down for more than 24 hours … I am asking this because I see that this thread is very old and every time it has been the same reason. I was considering getting a paid license of Zbrush and that is why I needed to evaluate it first so that I can know what kind of license I would need. But if licensing servers are down like this then it can impact my projects hugely…not worried about the trial license period though.

@MayankSharma, I think that the thread speaks for itself, actually. It was started with an event in 2011. It was necro’d with an event in 2015. And now it is another five years before it came up again.

So no, this is not at all a regular thing. :slight_smile:

Is it likely we will be reimbursed with the days we have lost? I’m paying so much for this software it’s a shame to be losing out because of this!

We will update it as new info becomes available.

@aurick - thanks I was able to activate offline and its working now. Just a tip - there was an error I was facing for “Side-by-side” error. @LittleClaude You must upgrade to ZBrush 2020.1.4. Earlier versions will not be able to connect with the server, ever again. There was a change outside of our control to how ZBrush is able to securely communicate with the server and this required releasing a new version.

  • If you have purchased a license, download the new version from your account on My Licenses.
  • If you have the Trial, go to the delivery email that was sent to you when you registered for it. The download link in that email will work again (until 6/9) and will deliver the 2020.1.4 version. If you no longer have that email you’ll need to start a Support conversation to have the email resent.

Hi, I have downloaded the ZBrush 2020.1.4 trial and I have the same problem as listed above.
My trial cant connect with the internet, even though I have it…
I have also tried to solve the problem with the firewall, but the porgram is not blocked by the firewall.
