Thanks xuxo for the critics, I think you are right about the feet of the character; still some fixing and tweaking to do there, im not glad with the results there… anyway thanks for the comments!

hi again, i have been tweaking a bit the mesh, this is a test that i have done with 3dmax and vray, with a simple material. c&c welcome

Really impressive. Keep up the good work metamesh!

Great work, Meta! My only crit would be the head, characterize it a little - Seems too uninteresting at the moment.

Did you render the whole highRes Model in Vray or did you juse Displacement Maps?

thanx 4 ur comments!
thomasMahler is a low mesh with displace maps using vray, here is the same model but another point of view. The model is not finished yet but i wanted to play a bit in max to get some results, again c&c welcome, and maybe some ideas for the colours cos im a bit lost there…thanks!

He looks nice with that color from the rendered illumination. Maybe just use that color with variations around detailed spots? It’s up to you. Someone will come up with a better suggestion.

I was wondering how you get that clay material. it looks natural.

close up of the head, thanks!

Your most definatly working towards a masterpiece! Have you started getting some ideas as to colors and material that you would like to use?

Hi, terrific work so far.
In thinking about the coloration ideas, it might be useful to consider the living environment, and how he could blend in.

omg GRUB!!! yer alive!!! wb

The model is superb …no crit from me…only praise:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Future plans for this beauty?

Looks great to me, too. I agree with Grub, anticipating how you will texture him is sparking my curiosity. I see quite a bit of potential for that. Please keep up with it, as I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Hi Grub!! I just came back, too.

I see him with Gila Monster (the lizard) type coloring and skin…dangerous, beautiful, with warning colors…

Great to see you back also Brian!!

Cheers me old buds, it’s great to hear from you two.

Hiya

I just had a look at this brilliant model of yours and it’s really a masterpiece of sculpting with ZB2. I have to say i envy your skills  hehe
I’m curious tho, how many polygons is it totally now and how much time did you spend on it ?
Got some info on how you went along adding all those super fine details all over the mesh ? that’s just rocking! keep up the good work and hope to see more of this style soon from ya

/ Max

thanks for ur comments!
Max the artist, about the polycount, it’s around 2 million polis right now (in zbrush) in max I use a low version with displace mapping…about the time spent i have no really idea, since i worked on it in my spare time, which sadly is not a lot
Anyway im trying to finish a kind of reel with some of the models done in zbrush so i hope i will finish it soon and post it here to get some c&c. Thanks folks!
