Thanks Myselfsama, I’m working on a new anime character, so I’ll try that with the next one, always good to get constructive points.
Quite a rough render, but i’m good to call this one done. rendered in Keyshot, with a bit of Photoshop Post.
The Afro punk is amazing! Well done.
Lovin’ the ‘Big Guy’ - he exudes immediate appeal and gave me a big chuckle
He was fun to create, so I’m glad he’s bringing joy to you also
Big guy is so great!
Thanks Takai
O.k, after watchin Pixars short, Sanjay’s Super Team, I was inspired to do a depiction of an African Orisha, I chose Shango, the Yoruba god of thunder and lightning. I’m working on the conecpting and fleshing out a few ideas. I need help with an idea I have. I want the good to have a craved wood look to him with beautiful carved details. How would you guys tackle this. So check out the image with the two carved wooden figures, what would be the best way to get a crown with that carved detail, I know I could use the sculpting tools and freehand it, but I really want precision, I want it to look perfect and less hand done.
Suggestions?
Love it - it’s worked out very well.
Design wise , choices made over tradition and I get it.
He’s male, he’s all about thunder and lightning so he has to be buff, angular, you know, can’t be curvy, oh no.
Were this a storm front sent by Shango it would be reported in Hollywood circles as front facing like Tikki and Buff like Roman. Whereupon it would get instant approval ratings.
A design synthesis of Tradition and Global aesthetics.
Pulling that **** off ain’t easy.
Thanks Boozie, you always have great feedback and comments, appreciate it.
Great character and style! small_orange_diamond

This is my latest WIP, I wanted to try and get a bit more anatomy in my sculpts, here is my first attempt of something a bit stylised, still a WIP, let me know your thoughts.
More pics, Im happy with where it is so far, still refinig some of the anatomy, once I do that, on to the fun part… posing!!!
Here is the final model, rendered in keyshot and comped in Photoshop. This was a lot of fun, and I learnt a lot.
I wanted to do a sparkly leotard, any suggestions on how to do it?
