Alien Character

i’m still at work, i just got a call from the mail room; the dvd is here! horaay. can’t wait to get home and check it out.

Mr. UPS man just delivered mine. Still dont have shipping confirmation LOL, but i’ll take the actual product anyways. :sunglasses: Now fire up the DVD!!

Awesome work… as usual…

congratulations!

And waiting for your next DVD!

excellent visage and setting – it really seems like he has a life-history and opinions – even the clothes must have a history!

No one has ever explained how to get perfect transitions between objects as you have shown here. :frowning:

All everyone has said is “eyeball it”…

How are these pieces so perfectly constructed? Are they native Zbrush? I would guess not. :frowning:

The gnomon dvd is great! Makes creating a character very straightforward…and the huge jumpstart to my alpha library didn’t hurt either! Thanks!

Awesome character by the way…good to see the finished product from the tuts.

Is anyone else having problems running this DVD?

I seem to be having some problems running the Detailing Characters: ZBrush Alpha Library DVD.

I cant run the DVD, It starts to run then just hangs. I cant copy any of the alphas to my hard drive. Is there something I’m missing?
I have the latest Quicktime I still cant play the DVD. I seem to be able to run other DVDs and CDs.
I have windows XP Pro
3ghz, 1 gig ram and a geforce 5900 with 256 megs.

Excelente modelado y buena escena, pero lo que más me gusta es la expesión. Muy bueno.

hey Aaron, can you show us your colour map?

Thx and cya!

I’d like to view the level of mesh definition head has before you import it in ZBrush.
Can you show a few screen captures of the process?

Aaron very nice work man for real! A 10 for your work! I was wondering if you like to sculp and make maquettes in your spare time, because Ive seen a few artists already that are great with zbrush, and I found out that they are very good sculptures. Im studying animation but I really wana focus making maquettes and scultures. Any advice or tip I should fallow would be great. Again, very nice modeling and texturing. Ill see if i can afford one of those DVD’s hehehe.

Hey aaron sims! I was wondering if you had a min. of your time or if you can post a tutorial on how to work with displacement maps in zbrush and how to make them. Your work is super good!!! Thx for the all the images posted. They were a very good help to get me more into zbrush. Hope I can buy one of those Dvd’s by you soon!!! hehehehe

Unbelievable! You’re the king.

Brother, I am sooo excited to see aomeone create such amazing models!
I am also an XSI user, and am currently learning Zbrush. I have seen your website and truly am humbled by the work you have done.
I hope that I too, will be able to achieve such a great level, such as you!

I am currently unemployed, and understand I need to update my technical skills.
I would so love to purchase your dvd lessons, in creature/char modeling, but being unemployed, I am unable to.

Here is an image of a model, I have been working on. Again, knowing Zbrush would be more productive friendly and having that knowledge would certainly blow away any limitations!

I hope you do get this message, if so, please email me at [email protected]

hey very nice model Mahpiya !

Mahpiya - i agree nice modeling

were are you from? and have you try to do some work? how long are you in the biz?

Thanks for the comments.
I have been in the biz for about 7 years … once worked for Mainframe Entertainment, in Vancouver, Canada.
I have mainly been modeling in XSI/Softimage, but am finding it extremely difficult finding work, again. I believe mainly because I am not up-to-date with the newer software. I am such a fan of all the CG Artists’ work, everybody is so dedicated and amazing!
I am currently beginning to learn Zbrush, and honestly feel a little intimidated with the software - hoping I can measure up to the work you all have been producing.
I love modeling, and to be able to enhance my skills with such a powerful tool, like Zbrush … well imagine all the worlds we can create! Now nothing is impossible!!!

Fantastic imagery!!!
