I just want to say thanks to everyone and all the great complements to my posting. I love working with this amazing program as well as many of you, and this forum has become a place for many artist to show and express them self in many different ways. On this forum I have seen the most incredible digital art from such a diverse art influence. That is amazing. To have a tool that can grab artist from the digital community as well as traditional artist from sculptors and painters. Zbrush is truly unique.
great skills and job…true toprow, aaron:D
Awesome work as always. Cant wait for more…

wow, this is truly excellent, alien and human at the same time, in fact, I find that he looks somewhat like star trek’s jean-luc picard for some reason. the skin texture really sets it off!
Excellent! abosutely “top drawer”.
Hey Zbrushers, I just wanted to give everyone more of idea what to expect in the Gnomon DVD that I just completed. This DVD covers alpha texturing on organic characters, and also has an extensive library of pre-made alphas that can be used for a variety of different characters and creatures. Along with the library of alphas I will also cover how to make you own, from using photos to painting them from scratch using Photoshop. I will show in this DVD how I use ZBrush to texture characters using many of the alphas, from an alien head with leathery skin to a creature head that has scales. Like I said before I will cover this and more at Siggraph. Hope to see you all there.
Looking forward to this Aaron
With the gnomon dvd,are you going to cover displacement mapping from zbrush to xsi?
Hello Aaron your work is really amazing and is greater your help to all of us. Thank you for your inspiring work.
when can we buy this new gnomon dvd?
aiTOR
looks awesome ! when is it gonna be out?
looks really good asims, look forward to seeing that long neck creature be made and hopefully painted and rendered. great style! look forward to the new dvd.
Wow Aaron!
AMAZING work!
The texturing looks very good and I like the layering scheme for the skin.
Your DVD will definitely be in my shopping list this Siggraph!
Alpha texturing is such a powerful feature in ZBrush… it’s great to have a master’s course on making full use of it!
Keep posting!!
WoW
Nice & those animations at your site are awesome!!!
The DVD will be released at Siggraph.
Crossbones: as far as the Trans mapping, I do use it to breakup the surface. It helps for places like the eye lids, lips and nose. Other wise the shaders can look to even or to waxy.
Ribok7: This DVD goes over the alpha texturing, as well as showing how to make your own, and I don’t cover displacement mapping to XSI in this DVD. The next DVD I am starting will cover this plus other things in ZBrush.
Thanks again for all the nice comments
Wish Gnomon would do some 3DS Max/Zbrush stuff. Still, most of the Zbrush DVD’s are still useful even if you dont have/use Maya/XSI (with regard to import/export-workflow-base mesh modeling-blah-blah-blah) so, i’m sure i’ll be picking this one (and the head modeling too) up soon as this new one is released.
