Hi fellow insomniacs! Spent about 6 o 7 hours doing this. The head, torso, and shouler pads are seperate objects. In total it is 18 million polys. I might in the future do this more, as in Retolo e.t.c. But zbrush rendering engine now is Really good! The idea is mine, but I must say the amount of anime films I have seen shown in my Designs. Hope you all like it and thanks for visiting. Made in Zbrush , post with Photoshop.
This is great stuff Brutha!
Love your updates!
Sweet, I love the detail !
Great stuff! thanks for sharing
This was an interesting study to do. Something very old, the fangtooth fish. I love how much detail they have as older they get. There are also MANY different types of these figh. Just amazing with how much details they have, and frustrating for me but rewarding in the end.

Wow, that a lot of detail! Looks great!
Nice details, I like when people do good work, then I want to do more good work.
all I can say is wow!
Great job indeed, so much details!
i’m wondering about your workflow for the scales? Stencils, NoiseMaker,…?
Gadzooks! Maybe it’s just my opinion but I think you managed to balance form and detail nicely here. Lots and LOTS of details without feeling messy or distracting. It just fits together.
Well, this is the model from above. Polypainted in Zbrush, then the rest of the texturing was in Photoshop. Many, many layers. The body was 4k, rest was 2k. Was very fun to make! Nature to me is a great study in art, as there as so many details, types of animal, species, sub-species. Hope you enjoy this image, photoshop sure did crash a few times, so its best of you have many layers to flatten them, then save a new copy of the texture.

At 1st i thought you overboard on the details, but now i see you put it to good use in the texture! Well done!
oh wow! that is just grate small_orange_diamond
Great work! Nice detailing!
Beautiful. Maybe great for sushi
Thanks to you all, im happy you like it the rendering was a pain but worth it! I have 3 more wildlife models to finish.
Any suggestions on some interesting animals, isects, e.t.c ???
yeah the flea is awesome! the anatomy is full of detail.
Thanks, it mutated from a Flea to a Prehistoric Fangtooth…=)
Just testing out some rendering in vray. It turned out pretty nice, call it a warm up for my next few pieces. Hope you like! Was a bit rushes I must say. Concept by Bjorn Hurri, older model I made before but decided to render it fully. Uhh so Ill, im surviving only on coffe and penacilin right now! Yaiii! Not the most ideal way to work i think =)

Quick piece I made, textured with zbrush and I must say it was really really fun to texture it within zbrush itself. Once I go a hang of it, the feeling was like bodypaint. The intent was to use good form, an details only where needed. For once I felt liek making something sweet and cute =). Thanks to my gf for putting up with my “how does it look? what about now? what about now? what about now??!?!?!?!”. Rendering was in Vray + Max. Mixing SSS2 shader + two other shaders to make the skin.
Hope you like it all!!! Good Zbrushing to you all, over n out.

I think the fish is fantastic. The latest female (I assume) alien looks very unique. For some reason she strikes me as having Korean traits. I feel it could be taken further if you want it to be realistic but it’s a really interesting design. I’m talking more the shapes than the colors.
