lol same! closed all that I was doing to view the post pmsl:D
you are one cruel bunch of people… shame on you
can’t be long now
serious part of this post
When there is news I’m sure there will be something in the top row.
- jesting part of this post (i.e. don’t take this too seriously) *
And an mp3 playing in the background with a chorus of hallelujahs might not be out of order
Aurick will be relieved because all of the annoying “are you done yet” questions will stop (well for the most part – there will still be a few “lost ones” out there), but that will quickly fade when he has to start answering a new set of oft-repeated questions brought about by the inevitable confusion that will ensue as people figure the new stuff out. In time though those will die down a bit and hopefully a lot of the older oft-repeated questions will go away as they are replaced by more intuitive features. So the net level of annoyance may drop for the poor guy.
I once had somebody ask me in a job interview, “Why do you want to get a new job.” My answer was, “I want to trade my old set of problems for a new one.”
…2 years…but what is time in the Z continuum…hold tight fellow Z’s it is coming.
some theme music when it is released would be nice.
Yea, for sure a deep heavy metal song, reminds me all the horrible creatures we have done with the second sequel of ZBrush, mixed with some bleeps of a robot (there’s some robots in the gallery) and also natural fresh air (with a deep menuet, or classical music break…some few minutes) … but I think so, Metal , hardcore, maybe techno is a good deal… hargggggg (I want my update)… hey guyzzzz, I think that the one, that leave the last massage here, in the same time of the Zbrush 2.5 release, have all my consideration, what a lucky guy ! When ??? Where??? Cannot wait…or I wanna die !!! Boum , I die…
ha ha hha
By far, that has to be THE most confusing post I have ever come across on the internet.
I like the cut of that man’s gibberish.
I’m very sorry if my question has been answered within the many pages of thread replies, or elsewhere, but I am between classes and don’t have enough time to read through them all (at home my connect speed is 26.4 and it will take me FOREVER to read 30+ pages of replies). This seems to be a very exciting update, and even though I don’t know enough about the program itself to fully understand what the update is actually doing, through reading some of the replies I find myself getting excited also. I am not currently a registered user, I’m just tinkering with the demo for now.
Anyway…my question…Assuming the release date is TBA (if not please offer that info as well)…
How will this update effect pricing for future buyers, educational pricing as well as commercial pricing?
I may or may not be able to buy Zbrush before update is released so I’m pretty concerned.
ZBrush 2.5 will be a free upgrade to all ZBrush license holders at the time that it’s released.
We do not yet have information on what the price of 2.5 will be for new purchasers, however. The price may remain the same, or it may increase.
According to our history with previous releases where the price has increased, we have typically announced the new price about three weeks before the release of the new version. This has given last-minute shoppers a chance to still get in before the increase.
They are getting delusional from waiting for 2.5.
YEAH ! where is it ???
i think this will have no good end at all.
i searched the net for similar stuff and found nothin. This update/plugin is a nice bedtimestory. This tecnnik of complete reconstructing of the mesh would
be a revolution in modeling.
I think 2 years are passed since the preview of those update/plugins was exposed to the crowd and no statements a heard since then.
I think somebody will buy pixologic (like autodesk bought alias maya) and the new Zbrush 3 will cost a lot of money, either the update will be not free anyway. Nobody giving good stuff for free.
So people wake up of dreaming and spare your money !!!
ahtuks Its a no win situation. Either it gets brought out before its ready and everybody will be moaning for a update to the update, or it gets done when its solid and reliable no time factor biggest mistake is telling and showing a update years before its ready. I think by now somthink should be said or shown or even a few more videos thats the reason towards fusteration of some. Silence somtimes dont help. I think its one of these things where by your better of not knowing theres a update untill its very near ready.
For me personaly there a hell of a lot to learn in zbrush 2 and if Im kept waiting for somthink for a overly long time I forget about it and just move on to learning other stuff. The new plugins have been given for free and the update will be free so best forget about it for now.
i encourage them to give us some details on whats going on… its a shame we are left in the dark.
Well ist either one of three things. 1: they dont want other companys getting in on the new features that are to be added. 2: More stuff is being added or 3: theres problems that need time and money to fix. Or maybe all 3?
I agree a word just to say all is going well and some new videos will be avalible soon would be great but then it will get everyone all up in the air about it again thinking its gona be december this year lol;) .
Ahtuks:
Your first and only post boils down to “I’m smarter than everyone here because I don’t participate.”

You dignified that with a reply.
Sometimes people don’t realize why zbrush was made and why zbrush still not at a super high price like other programs. Let’s see… Maybe the intention of the creators of zbrush was to help the artist by making a different medium of sculpting, modeling, texturing, designing, and rendering, by making it affordable for the artist? And let me tell you! Most of the people here that uses Zbrush in their workflow as a medium for their projects, I bet that they always have something new to learn from this program. By saying this… I mean that even without the SUPER UPGRADE OF 2.5 people still make beautiful artwork and post it here in zbrushcentral and people still have the desire of learning it. With this said, I think people should appreciate more of what they have right now and make the best you can out of it when the opportunity is here for us.
Have a great day!
Javier.

No, man , that was not the point. I’m just afraid of the future of zbrush.
Its a outstanding software and actually has a small price. Out there are 3d modelers that are not even half so good as zbrush but having the triple price.
I have seen a example of overtaking an software technology.
maybe someone remember “Eyematic” ? it was a realtime face capturing software. It was a plugin for Maya and 3Dmax. Only one of its kind. Then they sold the whole technology patent. now its “neven vison” and they only making implemented stuff in to mobile phones , security face recognition etc.
No more realtime facecapturing for your favorite 3d package.
Thats why i’m afraid. I dont want to lose Zbrush.
[color=black]PS: this is my second post
Zbrush still the best. Silo 2 and Hex 2 runner ups.
