…And what if the announcement does not come today? And not next week, or even next month? This is precicely why release dates are a double edge sword, both for hardware and software. Things are fluid with development of anything and when you even MENTION a release date it suddenly becomes gospel and if it’s missed the backlash can be brutal. It will be done when it’s done and lets be happy for the privelege of getting it free of charge regardless of the countless man-hours that must have gone into it’s development. Pixologic takes care of it’s customers and it’s community. And for this newbie, I know it was one of the best software investments I have ever made.

They said an announcement would be made. Pixologic have always been solid and timely with announcements so one will probably be made today. They did not say the announcement would include the release date. But they can just give a status update.
They will release it when it is ready. I just like to know just some kind of information on status that is all I am expecting that is a reasonable request.

aurick, can i beg the favor that you folks consider giving us some sort of grace period to purchase 2.0 from when you do announce. reading that silo thread - i mean if you decide to go the route of free 2.5 if you bought 2.0 by a certain date. i’m a couple weeks out from being able to buy zb 2.0 and i’d hate to miss the 2.5 upgrade cut off by a day. just begging…
Maybe its my fault because I just emailed my wishlist :o
But, if it is beecause of it, maybe it is best for all of us to have functional and useful modelling tools. Give em time to make it good and working upgrade.
BTW I am not Beta-Tester. I am just like any of you guys using ZBrush 2.0v
