Great Rendering man!!
I noticed you changed the expression of Rei compared to the original sculpture, it gives a slightly twist to the model, looks good!!

OMG, this is posted one day ago and its already 5 pages and top row
Great work!
Wow. Impressive stuff. I love the Hell Doctor. Looks like something from Clive Barker or something you would see made into a MacFarlane toy.
Wow this is fantastic! I have a question to anybody who might be able to answer it- what are all of those render passes (and what are they used for)?
Some of them are obvious to me, some of them aren’t…
#1) is obviously the final render
#2) seems to be an unlit render? what’s this one used for?
#3) specular
#4) Ambient Occlusion
#5) depth or something? what is this one, and what does it add to the final comp? is it used for DOF blur?
thanks!
This is great stuff. I love the originality of the Dead Body pic. As mentioned, the renders are fantastic! Thanks for sharing some of your work throughs and being an asset to this great community.
as a big steamboy fan i have to say, great work
you got great skills man! no denying that! love the renders! but its cool when you mention who actually had the original idea… somebody already pointed out Rei, and here’s where the “Hell Doctor” came from… originally called “The Surgery Addict” by Takeyuki Takeya. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k284/shiflettbrothers/Takeya4.jpg?t=1207469408

Thx all for your coments!
I really love Takayuki Takeya 's things, but I have no momey to buy.
I could only creat it in Virtual World…
Great Work!! I love those scenes!!
I really like the layer breakdown you posted for Rei. Looks like you’ve got:
beauty pass to use as a base
RAW RGB pass to make the colors pop in certain areas
spec pass to gaussian blur for the light bloom effect
occulsion pass to darken up the crevices and make details pop
Fresnel transparency pass…I’m guessing you used this to give it a translucent effect. I’m curious about this.
And a simple linear gradient to fake volumetric lighting.
Good work!

very nice details
great work …!!!
Your attention to detail is quite amazing.
Veerryy nice pushcar.
now i can understand why u didnt post anything for a year
Very nice work. One small critique if I may. On Hell Doctor, the surgical instruments are kind of difficult to see. I would either make the table a different material (mission style wood, or concrete), or perhaps just use a color on the table that doesn’t cause the instruments to get lost as easily.

well, I have to give props for the modeling and skills in the apps. I was gonna make this long post about how you should seek an art director role based on the compositions and concepts. I was really hoping Dead Man was original since I really loved the feel of it.
Your technical skills are beyond amazing though. Cheers to that!
The Rei piece is far superior to the original sculpt.
