Sorry all, busy, busy, busy, these days.
Between my job and beta testing not much time left over.
I didn’t even notice that this thread was still going.
Sorry that it took me so long to drop in.
Subnormal, Hopefully we’ll do you proud then. Journey 3d will be lots of fun. The 3d looks amazing!
marciani, then you should like it, it very faithful.
se7enthcin, This was one of the toughest movies I’ve ever worked on. It was stressful for all. By no small means, everyone involved feels like they’ve been through the battle and have come out on the other side alive.
Slayir, Thanks I hope you like it.
jais,
SolidSnakexxx, That’s great, it’s knowing that people love the work that makes all the long hours of hard work, worth it.
Lucifer The Dark, Sweet, hope the wait will be worth it for you.
Soulstealer, Thank you let me know how it goes for you.
brettSinclair, Thank you sir. We feel it is one of the most artistic movies made by Hollywood in a long time. Hopefully the wait won’t be too long for you.
Thank you all for the kind words.
Once again though this was a movie where hundreds of people devoted many sleepless hours of their time and devotion to bring Zack’s vision to the big screen. The fact that it’s getting a warm welcome, is exteremley gratifying.
Thank you for taking the time to drop in.
Cheers

Longsight, Hi yes… most of the well is cg, they created a 45 degree sweep of the very top of the well. We had to match it up and obviously create the world around it. That well caused us many, many hours of lost sleep.
In fact I wish they hadn’t created any of it, it would have been easier for us.
The texture team spent many months getting it just right. Christine Leclerc and her team did a great job.
BTW, 99% of the wheat you see is CG.
Big props must be given to Todd Fullford and Fredric Fortin for his long hours devoted to creating that amazing wheat.
At the end of the day I was modeling supervisor on the show, so the big props must fall to my crew.
They are the ones that kicked butt.
Thank you to all who worked so diligently to create the amazing work.
Cheers

Holy smokes! I just saw the movie and it was insane! The monsters in the movie were unmistakabely real. The craziest part had to be the slow motion effects when the king’s helm got scarred, when the axe nearly chopped his head off :O, and when the king sliced the beast’s head off.
One thing I thought differentiated this movie’s cg work from alot of others is that when things dropped to the floor, they actually made a corresponding sound. Alot of movies and games dont do this properly. It definately added to the realisticness of the movie! Great job guys
The movie finally came to South Africa this weekend. Power!!! Everything looked amazing. Well done to all those who worked on it.
