In this Lesson example, we'll take a gear model that has a triangulated mesh with no PolyGroups or no mesh ID, but has edges to help utilize the DetectEdges function. Once DetectEdges is activated, we can convert our mesh to quad based geometry, create PolyGroups, and most importantly retain our clean or hard edges. This function can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing and sculpting or features that utilize PolyGroups.ZRemesher 3.0 -...Using the Universal Camera to Composite in Photoshop In this Lesson, let's discover how to lock our camera in place across multiple applications using ZBrush's Universal Camera, create multiple render passes, and create a final composite inside of Photoshop.Using the Universal...BPR Filters: Blueprints - Part 5 Part 5 - Blueprints SettingsBPR Filters:...Creating a Scene with Snapshot3D - Part 1 Part 1 is an introduction to building this scene, discussing and demonstrating how Snapshot3D works inside of SpotLight. Hahahaha!
I am doing lasershows, mainly graphics since 25 years now.
Since the laser software is not able to do real 3D with convincing hiding etc. as it is just vector based, those 2.5 D graphics have been my daily business.

Hi,
Here is a video of the making of my maquette for Despicable Me2. It shows the posing process with TransposeMaster and some of the steps to create the 3D print of the maquette. Dave Cortez Printed it on the Projet 3000 at medium resolution. After the parts were primed with Bondo spray primer and sanded to get rid of the build layers.

Some more face sculpting, I plan to get in there and do a pass to finally dial it in and add more accurate detail. A new texture and some fibermesh fuzz on the jacket. Finally some photoshop blur and contrast, while I figure out the BPR filters.
I really like your bernini head. So easy to miss great sketches here.
The render is very nice.
Was this rendered in ZBrush with Lightcap and Photoshop? Any chance of sharing the material?
Thanks
Very nice portrait. I like the clean shapes and form of hair you created. I find it hard sometimes to get exactly the shape I want with fibermesh.
Enjoyed the interview on schoolism, grate motivation.

A new way to learn anatomy: ZBrush makes it possible
Hi Mike Defeo here. Scott Eaton and I are creating a new way to learn anatomy. An application with 4, 3D models and informational overlays. At the heart of the process is ZBrush making the sculpting possible.
Take a look at this teaser to learn more:

We plan to release it in the first quarter of 2012 on iPab, iPod, desktop, Android and Kindel Fire
