Architectural Design - Part 1
This tutorial series gets things started with the ZModeler Brush and NanoMesh to create a building base. Use NanoMesh's random, variation, offset, and rotation sliders to create a unique skyscraper look.
Architectural Desig … Architectural Design - Part 2
Now that you have your base building model ready after watching Part 1, let's modify your base model more with the ZModeler Brush.
Architectural Desig … Architectural Design - Part 3
Start this lesson with an introduction to Surface Noise, this will be used later to add more detail to your building. ZModeler is used again to create seperate assets for Alpha creation.
Architectural Desig … Architectural Design - Part 4
Now that you've created tileable assets from Part 3's lesson, let's create Alphas with help from the 2.5D features.
Architectural Desig … Architectural Design - Part 5
Using the Alphas created in the previous lesson, it's time to apply them using Surface Noise. This technique adds detail to your skyscraper, giving it a realistic effect when rendered.
Architectural Desig … Architectural Design - Part 6
We now have a fully modeled skyscraper building, let's render it with the ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge!
Architectural Desig … ZModeler Introduction
This video introduces you to the ZModeler Brush and a few of the basic functions you will need to get started.

Despicable Me 2: Making of Gru and Lucy maquette
Hi, Here is a video of the making of my maquette for Despicable Me2. It shows the posing process with TransposeMaster and some of the steps to create the 3D print of the maquette. Dave Cortez Printed it on the Projet 3000 at medium resolution. After the parts were primed with Bondo spray primer and sanded to get rid of the build layers. 79680180

a bit more
Some more face sculpting, I plan to get in there and do a pass to finally dial it in and add more accurate detail. A new texture and some fibermesh fuzz on the jacket. Finally some photoshop blur and contrast, while I figure out the BPR filters.

Here is an old model that I am going to try to punch up and make more realistic. I need to do some more sculpting, then FiberMesh to follow

I really like your bernini head. So easy to miss great sketches here. The render is very nice. Was this rendered in ZBrush with Lightcap and Photoshop? Any chance of sharing the material? Thanks

Very nice portrait. I like the clean shapes and form of hair you created. I find it hard sometimes to get exactly the shape I want with fibermesh. Enjoyed the interview on schoolism, grate motivation. chees, Max

A new way to learn anatomy: ZBrush makes it possible
Hi Mike Defeo here. Scott Eaton and I are creating a new way to learn anatomy. An application with 4, 3D models and informational overlays. At the heart of the process is ZBrush making the sculpting possible. Take a look at this teaser to learn more: http://vimeo.com/32244827 We plan to release it in the first quarter of 2012 on iPab, iPod, desktop, Android and Kindel Fire more info at MD3D inc http://md3dinc.com/
