2016 ZClassroom Wel … Metal Slug Fan Art Time Lapse
This video will walk you through the entire workflow used to create the Metal Slug Tank fan art model at 4x speed. Starting from a single Cylinder3D primitive, Joseph Drust will narrate the entire journey from start to finish.
Metal Slug Fan Art … ZBrush for Concepting - Part 1
We'll start this series with a brief intro to Joseph Drust and Andrew Bosley, followed by an overview of the six part lesson. The second portion of this video jumps right into ZBrush as Joseph uses the default ZModeler Brush options to quickly generate building structures.
ZBrush for Concepti … ZBrush for Concepting - Part 2
Taking the buildings created in Part 1, let's use 2.5D and its functionality to create an Alpha.
ZBrush for Concepti … ZBrush for Concepting - Part 3
Now that we have an Alpha created from our buildings, let's use it to create Surface Noise. Once rendered with BPR, we'll convert it to editable geometry and prep our buildings for KeyShot.
ZBrush for Concepti … ZBrush for Concepting - Part 4
Let's use the ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge, we'll create a number of render passes from various KeyShot materials. These render passes will then be passed on to Andrew for the remainder of this lesson.
ZBrush for Concepti …

hey thanks a bunch myselfsama, xada, and john!! I was asked a couple times to go into more detail about how I used the curveSurface brush for cloth, so I made a little image. I found it super useful for simple flowy cloth. I'll have to experiment more with complex surfaces, but let me know if you have any questions!

oops hey thanks, virtual_francky! sorry I missed your reply way back when I posted last!! And a long time it's been, too! I was recently affected by a company-wide layoff, so hopefully that means I'll be able to find more time for personal work In the meantime, I figured I'd post some work from one of the canceled projects we were doing at 5th Cell Media in case anyone was interested I worked with a great character team consisting of sr character artist TD Chiu, character lead/art director Mike Uziel, and later character lead Elijah Evenson Seems I rarely post professional work haha, hope you dig it! during pre-production, we were able to do a selection of concept sculpts of various characters' faces to establish the 3d style and get a sense of each character's unique personality once we established the style, i wrapped up a lowpoly version of our main character. I got some help on face sculpt of this one from Mike Uziel collaboration on the head and hands by Mike Uziel concept by Mike Uziel, body robotics concepted by Ari Bilow and 3d by TD Chiu Elijah Evenson took over on the head of this character after a redirection in art style while I did the body. Sadly the project was canceled before this was finished

it's been super hot this summer. I finally broke down and got a portable air conditioner - probably the best purchase of my life. So I thought I'd do a surfer gal to celebrate my liberation from the heat, and made her riding a wave of paint for visual interest. Take that, Summer anyway, I hope you dig it! I didn't get to do any weird techniques in this video but I rendered out a timelapse anyway if you're interested! uhsWKma1LSw

I also did a video with a little snippet [finally] giving Zbrush timeline a proper go, hopefully it's entertaining Y7NmfO3s1hs

I'm glad you dig my stuff. Maybe when I get good enough I'll do a more realtime video ^^ O/MI: hey same to you, Oliver! I'd love to see more process vids from you, I always love your work! boozy floozie: Hey thanks a bunch, dude!! It's been a long time since I did any personal work - so long, in fact, that i had to get used to the updated Zbrushcentral interface yet again! So I did a Valentine's Day sculpt this time, along with a timelapse for anyone who's interested. Happy Valentine's Day, ya'll! Timelapse: j_bAUntbacg I still have to dig into the Zbrush4r7 features, so this is sorta a warmup before taking a serious crack at a project in the new Zbrush

thanks a bunch, Nolan_R, Santis, Polyhead90, and Ryan! I moved recently, so I haven't had quite as much time to do personal work lately I'm fighting against that now though, so I did another timelapse. It's been a while since I did something in quite this style, so I decided to do a really anime-y Star Skipper This timelapse doesn't really use any special features of zbrush like the last ones, so hopefully it's not too boring for yallz! Geeze I missed your awesome sweater breakdown, I'm excited to try that out now that I've done knitting the weird way Rakan: thanks a ton, man! I appreciate it For whatever reason, I decided to do a daydreamer girl in cold clothing just weeks after I did that ice cream girl! I thought i'd try out some ideas for using Micromesh on the scarf and hat. As usual, I tried to do it all in Zbrush. Hope you dig it!!! (I did a timelapse too if you're interested, hopefully it's not too confusing!) dvCompIskoY I also got hit up a few times because the timelapse goes over the hat portion too fast So maybe this will make more sense!

That's the coolest time-lapse video I've seen so far. I'm impressed with how much detail you can get with micromesh that quickly. I'm going to have to experiment with it now. Thanks for sharing it.

lol thanks Kerem! I thought I'd do another one, this one's sorta a uhh colorful surreally ethereal swirly lady! Hope you like it! I also recorded a timelapse, but I'm afraid I didn't really use any of the cool features that I'd planned to try out for this one. I'll try to use some zbrush features I haven't played with much next time! But I hope you find it interesting! 7tAcZsMhxM0

Hi all, I've sorta disappeared for a while cuz I've been working on my lowpoly, baking, texturing, and all that non-zbrushage jazz. She's still not done though! I got distracted and started working on Dizzy's grim reaper wing - Necro. I made a couple timelapses too as I went along if you're interested Necro's stylized skull and hood: SiULVSdhyNs Necro's cloth body, arm, and wings I tried to annotate this one with some thoughts as I went along to sorta make more sense haha 32AKWMb0Bt4
