Exo-Lifter WIP
Another sketch that went off the rails and turned into something more. As usual an exploration in shape and anatomy turned into something bigger. I'd like to finish this one. Think about the mech stuff as an exo-suit for heavy lifting (and not as incredibly impractical armor). Obviously there's a lot left to figure out, including some sort of pose/scene. Anyway, here she is:

Jane
Hello! I'm calling this one finished (for now). This is a character I modeled from a concept that drew up a while back. I wanted to make a pinup style character for a while now and I thought it would be cool to make her feel very strong and confident as well. I did this character as the example project for a class I made for Mold3D. You can find out more about the class here: http://www.mold3dacademy.com/creating-appealing-characters-with-dylan-ekren.html I've included a couple of document grabs from zbrush in addition to the render. I hope you like it!

This seems really simplistic, but it is super cool. I am new to Zbrush. I just got a copy, many today thanks to my school. About how long does something like this take to model? How long for texturing?

Hey all - Here's another thing that started as a sketch for a head and turned into way more. I guess I should go ahead and finish it up.

I guess I forgot to keep posting these witches. Anyway here's another one I made that I brought with me to Siggraph. Pixologic had a great booth set up and tons of awesome artists showed off their work. I showed this character and my simple approach. If memory serves, I just orbited the model, yelling out words like "Shape!" and "Curve!" to a confused crowd. Hipster Witch. I have another few witches in progress which I'll try and remember to post when they are further along.

Another WIP character. Some sort of Goblin Brawler. A Girblin. I started with a rough idea, then realized I didn't really have a design, so I stopped and did this paint-over to find some direction. Still some distance to go on this but this thread is all about accountability and actually finishing things. Speaking of which, more Cammy soon. Old WIP:

Really nice design for this Goblin! Strong pose and beautiful silhouette. The color palette seems to fit very well for her too. Also I liked the Cammy! You have a such amazing art style, the characters feels so alive! Keep rocking!

Starting a thread to put up some of my wip and just-for-fun type character stuff. Here is a lunchtime project; Cammy from Street Fighter: Pose soon and then maybe another SF character. More to come!

Witches
Time to make witches. This is a WIP of the first in a series of themed witches. This is the Westwitch. Still going with this, and hoping to post updates to the project pretty regularly now, but I thought I would start a thread so people can yell at me if I slack off. Westwitch:
