Amaterasu
Amaterasu is the Japanese goddess of the sun. Gentle and kind, this celestial being roams the earth spreading enlightenment and warmth through the power of the sun. As my entry in the ArtStation challenge, I chose to re imagine this amazing character of feudal Japanese lore as a beautiful and graceful goddess who spreads warmth and light. She is originally known to be a powerful warrior, and I intend her to also be the same, but to pass most of her time as a docile and loving wanderer who lights the world. There are a lot of things I would like to do to tweak her, but she's done for now. My intention is to eventually add three koi companions that "swim" around her and accompany her into battle when necessary as dragons. I thought this lady out a ton, and didn't get the time to refine that I wanted lol Without further ado, here she is! Enjoy! WIP Images to follow.

FishBot 2.0
It looks like I've never posted this here. Weird. This is a project that I had when testing many of the features in ZBrush 4R8. One of my favorite features introduced in that version was the live booleans. It was efficient for a quick and clean workflow for toy production, and made things easy enough for retopology. Below are some images of my FishBot 2.0 as featured in 3D World Magazine, Creative Bloq, the Beta Tester's Gallery, among others. Created wholly in ZBrush with render and compositing using KeyShot and Photoshop.

Added Topology
I added topology! I'll hopefully go in and do her UVs and textures sometime, but for now, this is where she stays.

WIP - La Reina De La Muerte
Working on a character in my spare time as much as possible. She is the Reina de la Muerte (Queen of Death). It's a concept I had and started playing around with between 6-12 months ago. Fun stuff. Still a long way to go until I can call her done. The idea is to have her be a light-up statue (though I don't know that I'll produce her for more than just myself. Well, without further ado, here we go!

Desktop Buddies
Howdy ya'all! I decided to create this elephant based on a sketch I did that I liked, and I'm sharing it here now with you. The idea is to make a series of endangered animals that serve as a desktop companion. Fun designs full of character. Shoot me a message if you'd like to buy one. 75mm tall. I'm sending it off to print as we speak. I'll post images later.

Fighter Chick
This is a Fighter Chick that I modeled and sculpted completely in ZBrush. She is based off of a brilliant design sketch by Max Grecke. Love it. The process went pretty quickly. I live-streamed some of it, so feel free to drop in over to my Twitch channel to see some of those videos. The clothing is all topology-driven, but the character's body is all just tessimated--sculpted with dynamesh to start, then Sculptris Pro to polish her off. Love that new feature. Let me know if there are questions. You guys are groovy.

Learned KeyShot and I love it.
Both of these will be printed and displayed at the ZBrush Summit on September 30 - October 2. I'll be working to get them mass-produced someday for sale, so contact me if you're interested. Cheers.

Wow, those are some nice renders. The green lady on the left is fantastic. Any chance you could do a break down of how you achieved that look?

Hey @Black-Tooth Yeah, so if I'm not mistaken, it was a granite material in Keyshot that I had manipulated until it got a good look. Side-note: WOW!! Looks like I'm speeding up in how fast I respond to people!! lol. Sorry, bud.

Stephen Anderson - Sculpt-Off Submission
Hey everyone. I first wanted to say thank you for the honor of being able to participate in this awesome event! I'm a super ZBrush fan, so this was amazing. Below, I've included my work in progress sketches etc to show a bit of my design process figuring out what I wanted to do for the competition. I'll also include my submission as well as a refinished version that I did after the competition because some glitches wouldn't let me go into KeyShot for the competition, so without further ado, here ya go! Sketches: So I started with a route that I felt would ultimately not represent me or my story-telling/character background, so I changed gears over time to start trying to reflect more of the background of the character/robot I was to produce. I researched the theme (taking the aspects of the theme quite literally) and researched post-apocalyptic and cyberpunk to know what they meant and what they entailed. May have been over-kill, but I wanted to do well ;-) So anyway, I discovered that cyberpunk was defined as high-tech low-life. Since the idea of the sculpt off was to have man and machine scavenging for common necessities, I decided to go the scavenger route. The last image shows some experimentation with adding a nap-sack--an idea of him exploring and finding parts he needs. Below is what it started to develop into:

The last two are the most recent pass I did before heading to the competition. I was contemplating a turtle-neck sweater sort of deal for him at one point, but decided against the super sweater look for the final piece (though I did retain some of that...

I ran into some technical difficulties during the contest that killed me time-wise to some extent. I would have loved to have been able to do a few other things to this, but this is where it ended up in the time given me to work. Just a bit on the...

Thanks, Jimmy. Yeah, actually the plan is eventually take the bust and prepare it for 3D print on a base, but also to create a full character with topology and such as a portfolio piece displaying the full process.
