Expedition
Hi all! Made a new creature work in my spare time. Based on awesome concept by Wei Feng It took a little more than a month. I modeled him in prose from the beginning. The only part remained symmentrical is the face. It is super fun to sculpt and texture such high detalied models!

Maria Panfilova`s personal works
Hi all, I decided to create sketchbook thread to not to make a big deal each time I post something. Lately I make more animal works. It`s a very pleasant process because I don`t spend too much time on these works and stay loose. On the other hand, I learn something new each time about anatomy and artistic side of 3d. The process is quite similar to what I did with Trico described here: https://80.lv/articles/tips-of-quick-3d-sculpts/ Only this time I used Arnold for render. I`m a fan of Beth Cavener and can`t resist to use her style For the carving effect I used these brushes: clay buildup (with reduced stroke parameter), slash2, damian standart, Orb Cracks. Simba and Rafiki - a fanart of Lion King Stag. I found a picture in a book "art of animal drawing" and really liked it`s gesture. So made a sculpt based on the sketch. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/f1/35/ae/f135aef97786a3d622353ae00539a04e.jpg Hope to post more works soon Happy zbrushing!

Trico
Hey there, Just wanted to share my last work. So I played Last guardian the other day. I loved the art of the game and the story, but the gameplay wasn`t very pleasant. So I`ve abandoned it and watched letsplay instead And decided to spend saved time sculpting Trico. It was done in zbrush and rendered in keyshot using bridge. I`ve spent about 3 weekends on this. It was so much fun I wanted him to have natural material look. For this I used wooden and clay animal sculptures which I admrie as a reference. For the feathers, I created Imm brush, duplicated it along the body and dynameshed it then. The textures were made by polypaint. Mostly it was gradients but also "mask by Cavity" in some places Hope you like it

Fenris
Hey, Zbrushers! I`d like to share my new work. It`s a fanart of my favorite character from Dragon Age - Fenris I`ve done it for 3 months at my free time from work. I made an upgraded in in zbrush, based on original concept. The game itself (part2) is quite old now, so I wanted to change him and look more like final fantasy character (I love that universe too ) Hairs is maya nHair, I`ve done it from sculpt, converted to curves. For rendering I used Vray and substance painter for texturing Hope you enjoy it You can find more of my works on artstation page https://www.artstation.com/artist/maryia_panfilova

Some WIP images
This is how body and rough armor sketch looked like Modeling hairs. I found important to keep all locks separate frome each other to make clean forms I used crease tool to make hard edges and then beveled it with bevel button. wireframe other views

Gorgeous sculpt. I'd like to see more in the skin rendering. Look at the avengers. They do a good job making green skin believable in that instance. I'd like to the blue pushed more and maybe less saturated.
