FoldersZRemesher 3.0 - KeepCreases & KeepGroups
Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's KeepCreases & KeepGroups functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a pair of mech designed wings with various types of topology and apply ZRemesher with the help of Creases and PolyGroups. Applying these functions can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing, sculpting, and PolyPainting.
ZRemesher 3.0 -...ZRemesher 3.0 - DetectEdges
Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's DetectEdges functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a gear model that has a triangulated mesh with no PolyGroups or no mesh ID, but has edges to help utilize the DetectEdges function. Once DetectEdges is activated, we can convert our mesh to quad based geometry, create PolyGroups, and most importantly retain our clean or hard edges. This function can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing and sculpting or features that utilize PolyGroups.

Does anyone have a working link of the kraken materials? The distressed stone in particular looks amazing. Thanks in advance if anyone can share!

Excellent gryphon... Can you talk about the process between 3D print and mold making? Material of the print? Is the print used directly for moldmaking? Any touchup before moldmaking? Etc? Have you tried 3D printing in wax? i.e:...

About The griffin, griffon, or gryphon is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle Because the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of birds, the griffin was thought to be king of all creatures In history the griffin exists in the art and lore of Ancient Greece. There is evidence of representations of griffins in Ancient Persian and Ancient Egyptian art dating back to before 3000 BC. In the Middle Age, the griffin appears in bestiaries (animal books) and was thought to be really existing It was proposed that the griffin was an ancient misconception derived from the fossilized remains of the Protoceratops found in gold mines: 3d model 3D print cast bronze

Those renders are incredible. Really. I am amazed. Are they all rendered in zbrush? You using hdri or lightcaps? I also like how you made a studio lighting environment in zbrush.

Gary, is it that bad? But its fun! AngelJ, thank you! Frenchy, merci beaucoup! mjolnir, you are right about intersections and stuff. the point is im more trying to figure out if i find a form i would like to make a print from. So these are just sketches more really. Of course if i find somethng interesting enough, i will put more work into details. and hey, its still the same last one, didnt break any promise yet and yes, the render is blown out : EDIT: Fixed render zs_4 5.jpg

3Point14, Mahlikus, cherub: Thank you! Super Glitcher, thank you, Sir. asecbrush, mjolnir, thank you too! I know what you mean. The last 3 models all were byproducts of my first trials with 3.5. So they are "doodles" really, and as most things in here not perfect. Youre right, its not outstanding. The gag with raw zspheres is less exclusivity rather than its simply new. But then i didnt spend that much time on it either, im a lazy bone you know ok, last one i promise... zs_4 4.jpg

I would like expand a bit more about the 3DC and Zbrush workflow described earlier. Zbrush does an awesome job converting the voxel ma(e)ss into a ready model. You can use it to clean up, regroup and decimate the direct voxel output from 3DC. 1.) Clean up: Randomly flipped polygons will be fixed in decimation master 2.) Isolated Voxel "drop" islands can be detected via autogroups, it will also show you if there are still flipped polygons 3.) Autogroups is a good starting point for regrouping and splitting into subtools. 4.) Decimation master really brings down your voxel model to unexpected lows. The resulting mesh can be used in further applications. The only restriction is that the mesh shouldnt be deformed after decimation. Mr. Ill and his boom box are 50k polies. The glider is 120k polies. All modelling in voxels, Conversion with ZB: glider 3dc.jpg glider.jpg kji.jpg
