Hi! Here's a character fanart I've been working on lately. Theon Greyjoy from George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" and "Game of Thrones" series. It's a realtime model rendered with Marmoset. The polycount is about 76K. I hope I managed to capture the likness and the outfit details. What is dead may never die!

Added some details to my military chick and significantly changed her face. Also started modeling smg in 3d max. And though the problem with normal map was solved, I baked some maps and started to paint the texture. Here's what it looks like for the moment.

Thanks for comments, but I’m totally stuck. ( No matter which software I use for unwrapping and baking normal map, result is the same every time. I've tried flipping normal map channels in different ways, tried to change the location of the seams, but still nothing helped. Could anyone suggest me what to do? The mesh has only one smoothing group. There is no geometry with flipped faces. The result looks like baking was made with different light directions for the different patches of UV map.

    Hey there What 3D program are you using to render the character with the normal map? If its 3dsmax you might need to change the swizzle to X+Y-Z+ or X-Y-Z+ ( I dont remember which one it was, because I havent baked normal maps in a while...=/). Also...

Can anyone tell me if it's everything ok with retopologized model I've just done? As far as I know the use of triangle polys is allowed in game models, but I'm not sure.

thanks ) I'm currently working on character known as "Potemkin" from guilty gear x videogame. Going to finish this one. He's going to be about 1k polys with normal map. Also today I started new wip. It's a female model in military style. I'll describe the details later. )

Hi everyone! Starting my thread.
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum. First of all excuse me for my bad English. ) A couple of words about myself. Right now I'm working as a freelancer. Architectural visualization. 3d max, vray and stuff... It's good enough for living, but it doesn't make me happy. ) I'm dreaming of being a character designer. So I started studying anatomy references, watching tutorials and so on. I'm going to post my sketches and wips here. Looking forward to you comments.
