Creating a Character...ZModeler Introduction
Introducing, the latest tool to be added in your modeling pipeline, ZModeler Brush! This brush is geared specifically towards low polygon modeling, but not limited to. ZModeler IntroductionArrayMesh
ArrayMesh is an advanced array system in ZBrush that will allow you to create duplicate instances of geometry in varying patterns and shapes. This feature operates in real-time as you edit the structure of the original mesh or adjust the modifiers of the array. Using the sliders located in the ArrayMesh sub-palette or simply using ArrayMesh with Transpose can quickly generate complex instanced geometry. The ArrayMesh system also incorporates a multi-stage approach that allows you to nest multiple arrays within each other. With this system you can easily create instanced shapes such as tank treads or full buildings!

Transforming to sketchbook
Hi All, I just decided to transform this thread in to my ZBrush sketchbook, so i can keep you informed about my latest sculpts and wips. The first thing I want to show you in my new thread is a remake of a national Bulgarian monument of one of the first teachers of the cyrillic alphabet. The idea is to use the small sculpt as a literature award. This is one of the photos used as a reference: kowg7.jpg Here is the final result of the zbrush sculpt which was printed : KlimentOhridski01.jpg KlimentOhridski02.jpg and a closeup of the face: KlimentOhridski03.jpg after samo preparations of the mesh by a specialist, the statue was printed on the first Connex500 3d printer in Bulgaria ( the quality of that printer is fantastic). Realtime character - First Mate ==> My Sketchbook
Hi All, Finally I managed to finish this project. The idea was to create a complete nextgen character. FirstMate_BeautyShot2.jpg First I want to thank to my friend Borislv Mitkov - www.borilius.com who made the concept. The character is 7400 polys with 2 x 2048 diffuse, normal and specular map. Made with 3DS Max, ZBrush and Photoshop.The most work is done in the great ZBrush who managed to deal with the large amount of plygons needed to acheave this detail. The background of the image is mate painted in photoshop. Hi all, this is the promised body of the freak monster, which is stil in WIP phase but is near the finish, I hope that I'll be able to show you the final result till the end of the week. Some details about the monster- It has hard shell to protect the upperbody, instead of hands it has tough bone blades to attck and protect. The legs are also strange, they have no bones in the feeds, it is mooving with the help of very strong muscles resambling fllipers and can jump very high, and swim very fast. Thank you, I'll follow your advise and here is my last speed sculpt. The idea was to test some techniques in ZBrush so i came to this result. The horse was done in 3 hours , started from base mesh modeled in max in this pose. I tried to make something like a small zink statue, and that's the reason to create a new material which resembles zink. Horse_Zink_01.jpg
