Fighter Pilot
Something I'm working in between a few other projects. I still have to put some finishing touches on the helmet after which I'll probably texture the whole thing in Substance painter then render using IRAY. Should probably build some kind of drop ship for him too

New project I've been working on.
This character was modeled in Zbrush, textured in substance painter, posed in Maya and finally rendered back in Substance painter via IRAY.

Sith Lord - Darth Nailus
This is a character I'm working on at the mo, my first post on here in over three years in fact. Sith Pic 17 (face test).jpg The design is intended to mimic the older style of Jedi & Sith wear, which was more akin to medieval armor than the buddist monk style you see in the films. If you have read Jedi Vs Sith or Rule of Two you will understand the style I mean. Sith Pose - Close up.jpg Sith Pose.jpg It's still very much a work in progress but I hope to post finished stills soon. This below was me getting a little impatient and having a play around with some skin tones for his face. Nothing set in stone, just a little experimentation. Sith Pose - Color test.jpg Crits, thought's and opinions most welcome

Hi! Must admit, you've made very interesting details for his cloth. As for the head, upper part of the face covered by the sith robe. And because of it, angles of mouth attracts much attention. Corners of lower lip should quasi to come under upper lip....

Hi fellow ZKids!! this is an update of my Commando model with added skin detail such as pores and so on. Im quite happy with the skin details but I could use some crits on the colour map so let me know what you think Commando-close-up5.jpg Commando-close-up-black-&-w.jpg _______________________ Tolu Abisola Baby Dragon & Metahuman WIP http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=25203 Cardassian Woman http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthrea...ardassian+woman Harpie http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=28783 Barbarian & Commando http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=30272

The Barbarian & the Commando
Hi all, These are two characters im working on for my new showreel. Unfortunatly I can't spend as much time as I would like with these pieces (Life) I am hoping to complete them both soon Barbarian: skin1 brabarian2.jpg The muscle details I think need a little more work, i slapped a skin shader on it to so i could better guage the details, but i didn't really like it so tried another skin shader Barbarian: skin2 brabarian1.jpg I like this skin shader better as it shows more details IMO BUT!! i recently watched a tutorial by Kris Kosta and his skin technique just blew me away so i will be creating another in good time Commando Commando1.jpg Commando2.jpg Commando3.jpg With this model i am hoping to create a normal to re-create the details in another package (softimage or 3D studio) im hoping it will impress a few game studios (hoping hoping hoping!!) all the detals on the commando's uniform need tightening up and smoothing as well as a little more definition. But please let me know what you think or what improvements i could make __________________________________ Tolu Abisola Baby Dragon & Metahuman WIP http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=25203 Cardassian Woman http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthrea...ardassian+woman Harpie http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=28783

Slightly Warmer light
This is a new render with a slightly warmer light applied (the old ones did indeed look too uniform) Im still experimenting with different lights so expect updates soon harpie_MCLRwarm.jpg I might change the eyes too ____________________ Tolu Abisola Baby Dragon & Metahuman WIP http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=25203 Cardassian Woman http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthrea...ardassian+woman

Harpie
Hi all, Long time no post! This is a piece im working on for my new showreel. I started this with the same mesh I used on my Cardassian Woman Wip (which I will finish eventually) I tweaked it a little in Modo and then imported it into Zbrush for further modelling and detailing (the fun bit) After a while I ended up with this: harpie_BW.jpg I then began painting the colour map for the Harpie, which after a while looked like this: harpie_ZCLR.jpg Rendered with different light settings harpie_ZCLR2.jpg At this point I decided to take the plunge and see if I could render this model with a displacement map in Max. I've always been a Lightwave user and probably don't need to go into how hard it is to get good displacements in LW. So with my new focus on the game industry I've decided to learn Max Once in 3D Studio I added eyes and then produced a few renders in V-Ray harpie_MCLR1.jpg harpie_MCLR2.jpg harpie_MCLR3.jpg And this which im reasonably happy with harpie_MCLR4.jpg Let me know what you think ____________________ Tolu Abisola Baby Dragon & Metahuman WIP http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=25203 Cardassian Woman http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=25367&highlight=cardassian+woman

I should like to see you use some different colors in the lights. Try a warm color in the shadowpart to make the colors less uniform. Maybe you can give the parts where no bumps are some texture to make it more 'natural'. But you made a good start!

Skin detail update
Firstly thanks for all the kind comments. To recieve words of praise from talented artists really makes the heart (and head) swell, you just gotta love this forum. Okay, secondly i think i've F***ed up the skin on this character. The detail i think is too high frequency but it didnt look like that until i put the materials on and rendered it. Well here they are so let me know what you think. cardy-woman1.jpg cardy-woman-2.jpg This one i rendered with Sokar's skin material cardy-woman-3.jpg

Cardassian Woman WIP - update
Been really busy with work and other crap life likes to throw your way, so its been a while since I updated this piece. But now I have and here it is. Just need to do a few more refinements to the Cardassian bone structure and then add the skin detail. Cardassian Woman WIP
Hi all, This is my second post (my first posts can be found here http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=25203) I was half asleep on Sunday morning and Deep Space Nine was on. As i watched half asleep a Cardassian came on the screen and i suddenly thought, why not? So I searched around for a couple of usable images of Cardassian females, once I had what i needed I decided to use a female head from a past project as the base from which to start So far im just finalising the facial structure before i start on the fine details Tips, crits and general comment welcome. Provisional wing detail
Hi all, trying to finialse the detail on the wings. Detail added using stencils and the deco brush. wing-detail.jpg wing-detail-2.jpg wing-detail-3.jpg Gonna leave this for the time being as i want to work on this fabulous head model that Bas Mazur posted (can't wait to mess with it) and im entering the BBC3 Animation competition and have to finalise the script and all that other pre-production crap. Going back to the model, im not 100% happy with the design on the wings so if anybody has any suggestions............

  • polyguns
    12-12-05
nice model, I can't wait to see it with a shader. In a way, I understand the feet, it be a little dumpy dragon, but that could set it apart. How about giving it a buncha fat underneith the chin? like a double chin? like a fat dude? I think that...

My first posts
Hi my name is Tolu Abisola, i live and work in London as a IT Manager. My first and only love however is 3D. The main programs i use are Lightwave, ZBrush, Modo, MotionBuilder, Maya plus a little Combustion and Messiah I would go on about how great ZBrush is, but better men than me have given it all the praise its fat little head can stand. One thing I will say though, no other program has changed the way i look at 3D like ZBrush has. These are my first two posts. Both are still in the WIP stage (so please don't be too cruel) Metahuman Metahuman-front.jpg This model began life inside Modo before being taken to ZBrush for sexing up. Kind of left this one on the back burner for a while as it started to get on my nerves while I was detailing (underlying muscle structure not smoothed and defined properly, hence the lumpyness) i do plan to revisit this soon. metahuman-back.jpg Perungar - Infant Dragon Perungar-original.jpg This mesh began inside Lightwave, it was then taken into Modo for further refineing. Perungar-unfinished.jpg Firstly I fleshed out the muscles groups and skin flow. The problem when modeling with ZBrush is fighting the temptation to jump ahead a few subdivision levels and add more detail before time ( a problem that afflicts me greatly) Perungar-1.jpg Oh dear!.... as you can see i've jumped ahead and started adding too much detail without finalising the final form (naughty). the feet are in need of particular attention (Might add some detail to the wings too ). Perungar-2.jpg Reduced the amount of texture around the face and front arm area. Modified the feet a little but this is proveing problematic due to a few design faults in the original mesh (deformations hard to sculpt and smooth) added some detail to the wings and some detail to the stomach with the deco brush. Gonna keep working on this one look out for more updates. Peace, Tolu

Ooo .. very nice! Welcome. Wet and raining in London today, I think. Do you like Messiah? I've been looking at the new workstation version .. seems excellent value. Look forward to seeing more from you.
