Thanks Metin! Here's something a little different. These are a couple of images I created for an unused campaign in 2013. I modelled and textured the Facehugger in ZBrush, rigged and posed it in 3ds max then matched it to supplied stock photography. Rendered with V-Ray. Here are some WIP images of the model.

Thank you! @Metin - Yeah, I definitely get more stylised work lately but I'd say for the first half of my career I was doing work mostly like this. @SwampGhost - Haha yes! It was created before he came into office (something I still can't process)...

Thanks all! Here's a recent project I did. Every year, the lovely people at www.satek.at commission an artist to create a series of posters which announce to the people of Vienna that the local ice cream parlour, Tichy, is open for business. I was truly honoured to be this year's artist and these are the illustrations I created! I used Zbrush for modelling most of the characters, as well as the liquid elements in the canal scene. Really looking forward to going to Vienna myself in a few weeks to hopefully see them in person (and most importantly, eat ice cream!) Here's an short undo history time-lapse featuring some (but sadly not all) of the steps to making the ice cream cone character auzYbzH5S7M

These were three fun melting food characters I created to accompany an article in Women's Health magazine about the potential pitfalls of the Keto diet. Sculpted in ZBrush, rendered in 3ds Max with V-Ray.

Monster Project 2017
It's that time of year again! This is my 4th year taking part in the fantastic Monster Project (https://themonsterproject.org/). This year the wonderful monster I picked was drawn by a brilliant kid called Reagan. I decided that it would be fun to make a campfire scene and have the monster leap out from the bushes, so that's what I did! I also made a very short process video for anyone interested in how the scene came together. It's not hugely in-depth, and sadly my ZPR files with the undo history for modelling the dad & the monster are both corrupt, otherwise I would have included them also wz2c_eFUPOM

I managed to find a couple of ZPR files that still opened with the undo history for the Dad, so here's a little time-lapse! 8bm6CmemT6w

Something a little different from my character work, this is an illustration I was commissioned to create by DAVIS Design for Philadelphia's line of VIVA Protein Yogurt Smoothies. I used ZBrush for the majority of the modelling, rendering was done in 3ds Max with V-Ray.

Wow, it's actually been nearly a year since I posted here! At least that means I've had the chance to do some more work Another year, another Monster Project. This is the brilliant monster a kid from Texas drew: And here is my take on it: (Rendered in 3ds Max with V-Ray)

Monster Project 2015
Took part in the fantastic Monster Project once again this year, such a ludicrously fun thing to be part of! Here's the kid's sketch I picked: And my fan-art of it: Some crops: Technical wise the modelling of the monster and the crane operator were 90% ZBrush and I used Fibermesh for the monster's fur. Rendering was done in 3ds Max with V-Ray. I also just got sent a photo of the original artist holding both pieces

It's summer, so I made some ice cream! Ice cream scoops were sculpting in ZB, I used a couple of adjusted alphas of tree bark to get the pattern on the surface then just pulled around the rest. Rendered in 3ds Max with V-Ray.

Here are a couple of illustrations I did at the beginning of the year as part of a campaign for a storage company. Really crazy deadline for them both, so perhaps not as polished or refined as I'd like but needless to say ZBrush was an incredible help! Final renders were done in 3ds Max with V-Ray.

I had the opportunity to take part in the wonderful Monster Project (http://www.gomonsterproject.com/) this year. If you’re not familiar with it, they collect a load of great monster drawings from kids and then artists can pick a monster and run with their take on it. Here’s the awesome monster I picked And here's my take on it! The monster was 90% modelling straight in Zbrush, then exported to 3ds Max where I added the chrome parts and rendered in V-Ray. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the kinds words! Something new to post. Based upon a concept by the incredible Nurzhan Bekkaliev. If you don't know his work, you should check him out immediately http://www.artstation.com/artist/nbekkaliev Original concept: The majority of her body was modelled in 3ds Max, which I then took in ZBrush to pose as well as create her head and hair thanks to the godsend that is Dynamesh Rendered in V-ray.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Here's a new character I've been working on called 'Astronut'. He's a space travelling peanut. Most of this image was created in 3ds Max, but I did some concepts and made the moon in ZBrush. Cheers!

Just 3 years later, I thought I should update this thread! Here's a model I've been working on and off for a while. It's a collaboration with an insanely talented 2d artist called James Harvey (www.stopjamesharvey.com) to take one of his characters into 3d. As she's progressed she's moved away from the original design to some extent but I'm still fairly happy with how she turned out. Everything was created from scratch in ZBrush with the exception of her coat, which I made in Marvellous Designer (then retopologised, UV'd and detailed/tweaked in ZBrush) and her gun which I modelled in 3ds Max. Final render was done in 3ds Max using V-Ray with some post processing in Photoshop.

Thanks guys! Slight delay in posting any updates - but here's something I've been pottering on for a while. ZBC1.jpg Female_1000_01.jpg Started off as a challenge entry over at cgfeedback, been playing around with her on & off the last couple of months. Sculpted from a couple of ZSpheres & then retopologised in 3ds Max. Rendered in v-ray & lots of faffing about in photoshop. Will post some Zbrush screens later.

ZB sketchbook - AJ Jefferies
Hello! I've been using Zbrush for a few years now but haven't posted any work here at zbc, so I thought I'd make a thread for my personal & professional work, along with any stupid doodles that fall out of my brain. First up here's a WIP of the Ghost Pirate LeChuck I've been working on & off on. LeChuck_WIP20.jpg Still needs plenty of work but any comments or crits most welcome! LeChuck_WIP20_zbt.jpg
