This year has been an incredible year. I finally got to go to the Zbrush Summit, which was an incredible experience. Get in touch with the community, and meet artists that inspire me for years. So thanks Pixologic team and the community for this amazing event. Here is a model I made during the weekend, using only Zbrush and Photoshop for the composition. Inspired by the incredible illustration of my friend and coworker Adriano Bastista who has already made several covers for Red Sonja. You can check out his work here. https://www.behance.net/AdrianoBatista And if by any chance you're in Brazil this week, meet him at the ComicCon Experience 2018 at Artist's Alley E31. Here is a little Christmas card I made with the model. Good end of the year for everyone and Merry Christmas.

Amazing sculpture. I love the poses - it turned out really great. And rendering is nice and clean - perfect for it.

This is a study I've been doing for some time. While I was sculpting I always imagined the scene as if it were a father, holding his son who had just died in his arms, looking up at the sky as if questioning why, while the son remains serene in his arms. That was what guided my thinking as I sought his expressions in order to convey some feeling to the viewer. But be willing for your own interpretations. Thank you for viewing.

Gymnastic Sketch 02 I have been looking for a good silhouette and a feeling. I have not spent much time in these sketches, I'm doing it in a very loose way without worrying too much, to rest a little of this other project I'm working on. Recently I have been looking at many sculptures of the master Richard mcdonalds amazing works really inspiring, trying to mimic in some way, if that is even possible

I started this model as a warm up study from a picture that I saw on pinterest I belive the photographer is Alexander Yakovlev he has amazing images. I started from a manequim with no symetry as I usually do I decided to make a more finalished version of this, to see how it reacts with material and shadows so I open the uvs with uv master then send the file to substance painter to play around, a lot of fun to see the model in real time reacting to the shadows and materias is quite nice. I planing to do this with the other model that I'm doing (images above) I can say that I'm very inspired by the works of Mariano Steiner and also the last image from TotoDost Classical sculpture, amazing stuff. Here are few images that I did playing arround with the model.

THey're great, man. I really them a lot. I thhink I see one issue there (I'm talking about heads you sculpt). THe eyes are too close to eachother or the top of the nose is to thin or the distance from eye to the side of the head is too small. Or...

Hey Nebular, I completely agree with you. I believe that all these factors you mentioned are a bit off on the heads, even if it's a little. I was feeling something strange in those heads, if somebody else felt then something is probably wrong.I'll be...

I think what I really admire, is the simplicity of forms in these studies, yet each figure's gestures and stance seem authentic and have weight. Very pleasing to my eye.

tks Nebular I will keep pushing myself to get better. Yeah all those exercises on top, with only one exception I did without symmetry I think that in some way it makes the gesturing more organic. Thereafter I will try to make de full figure first then go to the pose, just as an exercise for a better finished model. another one just practicing.

I think you're doing great. The anatomy may not be 100% correct but looks very convincing. And poses - rythm and feel are very very good - and that is most important. I especially love the spiderman. You sculpt stright in poses right?

Many thanks Nebular I have a lot of difficulty with anatomy so I've been studying and trying to improve, with these exercises I try to capture the gesture and form but the anatomy still has many problems that I always try to improve. As for the question of time. I wake up early in the morning and with that I have an average of two hours to study before going to work. I do not run to do these studies, some end up leaving in two hours, such as that of the spider man, but others may take longer as these studies of couples. Tks Old School, glad you liked. here is a study of primary forms, body and head.

Hi, these are some warm up studies I've been doing in the morning before work.
