Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's KeepCreases & KeepGroups functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a pair of mech designed wings with various types of topology and apply ZRemesher with the help of Creases and PolyGroups. Applying these functions can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing, sculpting, and PolyPainting.

Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's DetectEdges functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a gear model that has a triangulated mesh with no PolyGroups or no mesh ID, but has edges to help utilize the DetectEdges function. Once DetectEdges is activated, we can convert our mesh to quad based geometry, create PolyGroups, and most importantly retain our clean or hard edges. This function can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing and sculpting or features that utilize PolyGroups.

CREATURE KITS: Mandrill Teeth & Gums - High Poly OBJ File / ZBrush File with Subdivis
Hi Everyone! Here's an example of my new line of Creature Kitbash Teeth & Gums Sets selling on my Artstation Store. Scroll up to see the creature concept image I applied these teeth to. The teeth are symmetric, with no polypaint data, perfect to use as a base, then deviate with asymmetry and damage. I've also created the following sets: Mandrill, African Lion, Wolf, Gorilla, Hyena, Vampire Bat & Pug. (Yes, Pug teeth! haha. Pug skulls are incredible creature reference, btw.) Thanks for checking out my work! 306931662

Blood of the Gods
Hi Everyone! I created this concept to showcase my new CREATURE KITS: Mandrill Teeth Kitbash Set (Scroll down to see the teeth) ! I started with the original Mandrill teeth, then segued into the creature you see here. Inspired by Japanese folklore creatures. (Yokai, Oni) I created these teeth sets to help other creature enthusiasts get more mileage from the time they have. Since these are existing animal teeth, altering them to create new teeth is a great foundation to start from. Check out my Artstation store for more CREATURE KITS Here 307339293 308116630

To The Spawning Grounds Of The Grand Basin
More images for my concept titled "To The Spawning Grounds Of The Grand Basin" The migratory challenges of the Mobulas, a genus of ray in the family Mobulidae found worldwide in tropical and warm temperate seas, as they travel to the spawning grounds of the Grand Basin; a massive Caldera surrounded by subterranean rivers, aquifers and lakes. The Mobulas can only mate once while they are young and small enough to navigate the meandering caves, often falling prey to predators. Reaching the spawning grounds is only half their journey, as they travel back out to sea, where they'll reach monumental proportions. Original concepts for a personal project. (Credit to BadKing for his ZBrush IMM Water Brushes that I used to create the water droplets / splashing water of the rays. Illang: The Wolf Brigade (2018) - Ammo Pack Concepts
Hi Everyone! Exploring different ammo packs for the armored suits. The first was the approved design for the film. Looking forward to the film being released on Netflix. It was a huge honor to get to work on this South Korean adaptation of Jin Roh directed by Kim Jee-woon with Alliance Studios! Objects of Reverence
Hi Everyone! rasmusW - Thank you!! I'll try to keep them coming! Here is my Sentinel concept! I had played around with creating multiples of these sentinels lining a corridor, but I really wanted to emphasize certain elements and strike a stronger mood, so I kept it singular. Definitely a Triforce visual language going, but a bit more sinister. New Sentry / Imperial Guard Creature Concept!
Hi Everyone, I started this thing recently and will be getting a final render out to create the main image. It's something along the lines of an Alien Sentry or Guard, partly inspired by the Sphinxes' Gate in The Never Ending Story in concept, not in appearance, so possibly may have multiples of them lining a opulent corridor. Thoughts?

Wreathed in Silence
Hi Everyone! Here's a Female Alien concept inspired by marine life creatures such as cuddlefish (Cuddlefish!) and the elaborate and feminine Cirque du Soleil costumes. Originally, it had started as an organic Egyption Sarcophagus design that grew into what it is now. Also, It was suppose to just be a bust, but to show her flowing cowls coming off her head, I had to crop much lower, then one thing lead to another and I found myself sculpting her feet! haha Let me know what you think! Thanks! 200421397 200421411 200422857 200421418

Creature Concept / IP Dev - Final Scene + Screenshots + Turntables!
Hi Everyone! Finally had a chance to wrap this creature concept up. Added some quick screen grabs of the pose and a few turntables as well, one of which, shows you the environment elements I created that only had detailing in the general area I chose for the final shot. A Second environment with some Fibermesh exploration that would have burgeoned my turn around time beyond what I what I felt appropriate, so I chose not to roll with it, even though it was looking pretty cool and framed the creature well. Let me know what you think! Thanks! Here is the Final Image: The Raw Render: Here are some screenshots of the posed model: Here are some turntables of the posed model and a couple of the environments I mentioned earlier: 190298027 190298026 This one's the one with some Fibermesh exploration: 190299551 Here are some of the symmetric posed model in color and early color exploration:

Sect of the Ophitæ
Hi Everyone! I'm really excited to share these creature concepts that I had a lot of fun putting together. Here is some of the info for the Title / Concept: Word Origin and History for ophidian adj. "pertaining to snakes," 1883, from Greek ophidion, diminutive of ophis "serpent" (see ophio- ). Hence, ophiolatry "serpent-worship" (1862), and the 2c. sect of the Ophitæ, who revered the serpent as the symbol of divine wisdom.

Alien WIP - Turntables
Hi Everyone! Really appreciate the response and feedback! Jakyll - Thanks! The Pulaski character was one of my favorite images, so I'm glad you dig it! LVXIFER - Thanks! RawSunlight - Thanks! A lot of cool work never made it in the film, though. WilsonReyes - Really appreciate it! The "Noxious Exhalations of the Putrescent" was a really fun one to sculpt. I agree, the film fell a bit short for all the concept art that was contributed to the production. Have a look at all the images that never made it in the film here. Here is something I've been trying to find the time to work on, but I have the color and detail on the head and neck where I want it, I just have to apply it to the rest of the body. I'll hopefully get some good progress and post more soon. Thanks for checking it out! {w] Sand Alien WIP Lighting Test from Mauricio Ruiz (Maury) on Vimeo. Cheeks! - Quick Sketch
Hi everyone! Thanks Grassetti! Thanks Piggy! I hear what you're saying about the lack of depth to the eye area. I may have chosen to keep that area a bit subtle to balance out the high degree of details that draw your eyes into the mouth and exposed olfactory system or nasal cavity, but maybe since it drew your attention, I'll play with how much I can push it while maintaining that fleshy smooth feel that I'm aiming for. I appreciate the comment! So, before I finish the other more serious creature, I wanted to make something a bit more playful for a change. I can't help but see the influence by Majin Boo from Dragon Ball Z, but I was aiming for a childlike expression... I think those funnels on his head may have taken over the edge, but oh well... I'm having fun with it! (I may add some color to make it pop)
