Swords and knifes are often created to accessorize models. Hey everyone! My name is Adam Skutt, I'm the character lead over at Ready at Dawn. A bunch of us wanted to share some of our artwork with the Zbrush community. This was a great project to work on, there were so many talented artist involved in creating these assets. All of these images were rendered in Keyshot and sculpted in Zbrush Scot Andreason did the hair cards for Lakshmi, Majid Esmaeili sculpted the male glove and the weapons holster that was shared by most characters. Knight and Horse
Hello, my friends! This is my personal work, called "Knight and Horse". It is the summary of my work this time using ZBrush. My project is based on the conceptual design of French illustrator Julien Renoult. ZBrush is an high-efficiency software that constantly motivated my creative inspiration. Many of the new features of the latest ZBrush4 R8 P2 have given me brand new experience. What very impressive are the latest ZModeler brush and the Transpose track tool. ZBrush is wonderful. I am very lucky to meet ZBrush, and I will continue to accompany you until I get old. Here's a simple breakdown of the techniques I used to to create this model.

XM Studios - White Magneto
Hey guys, This is the Magneto statue that I did for XM Studios. It was great to work with XM and I had a lot of fun in this project. The Magneto itself was all done using Zbrush and I used Blender just for a few parts from the base. XM Studios did a cool presentation in Zbrush Summit and showed a little about the process of creating this statue. Finished! The render is quite straight forward with zbrush passes, deeply inspired by the process of the amazing vahidahmadizb2016 . About the modeling I made everything in zbrush, the hard surface parts are made with zmodeler. It was a really fun project hope you like it! Matt Flesher - 4R8 Beta Images - Part 4
My final Beta piece is a sci-fi gun based of an awesome design by concept artist Prog Wang. Matt Flesher - 4R8 Beta Images - Part 3
The next images or of a little Bluetooth speaker I modeled. I modeled it off of a real speaker I have and this was actually the first thing I did just to really dive into the new Boolean tools. I used a lot of Zmodeler and boolean, along with some Arraymesh for the speaker holes. And my speaker was black, so I decided to liven it up a little. I'm working on a breakdown of this as well that I will hopefully post soon.

For the Zbrush 4R8 beta, I have been experimenting a lot of things and most of them are related to 3D printing First, I'm working on a 1/1600 scale StarWars Imperial Star Destroyer, the Avenger (Episode V). It's a mix of ZModeler, but also ZSphere retopology, then boolean, the new (to do tubes, I love so much the Bend Curve!!) modifiers, ArrayMesh and so much more. The beauty of the boolean and modifiers and Gizmo is that it's working with all the ZBrush features. I still have a lot of work to do on such project as I will go insane in details, but the addition of the boolean, gizmo 3D and deformers as well as ZModeler makes such project easy with ZBrush. For the shield generator, it's a mix of parametric primitives, boolean, ZModeler and Arraymesh. using ArrayMesh makes editing easy! Turbolasers are just booleans and parametric primitives and few deformers. I did some test prints of course! Another great benefit for 3D printing is not only the key creation which is easy but also the hollowing which can be dynamic and the doing some dynamic slicing to check overhang and undercut parts. Because of the Live Boolean you can fix areas in realtime which is a game changer and a productivity booster! The 2B's pod fro mNieR Automata that I created during my previous ZBrushLive sessions. You can't imagine my frustration when I did some parts as I wanted to do them in 4R8! Then only the splits are made with 4R8 and the boolean.

2017 Personal Work Dump
After years producing very little personal work, I've got the bug back a few months ago and decided to dedicate some time to myself now that the kids are a little bigger. I will post a batch of personal work produced this year, all WIP. The clay renders are in the most part 2-3 nights sketches, while the textured models are longer projects done to learn Arnold, which is the render engine used in all shots. I am terrible at replying, but I will be watching this thread as much as possible. I will be adding the other ones below, since there's a limit of images per post. I hope you like them. -Kris
