ZTree Plugin

Thank you for work !!

Hello. I just wanted to know exactly how do I install this plugin inside of ZBrush? I tried the copy and paste method to the ZPlugin folder and nothing happened.

To install it You have to copy the Ztree.zsc and ZTreeData folder to the Zstartup/ZPlugs folder for the 32bits version folder and ZPlugs64 for the 64bits version.

You don’t have to install Zscripts in to use them… I don’t have Ztree permanently installed. In windows You should be able to click on the zsc file and Zbrush should open with the script ready to use from any folder.

Oh okay. I’ll try that. Thanks!

I’m a newbie
I downloaded the Zip file but being unfamilair with Zbrush core I am not sure where I should unzip the file to
do I unzip it and save the file folder somewhere in Zbrush or do I unzip and drag the file folder to the Zbrush foler?

Sorry for such a lame question I should know the answer.

Akgold

Hi Akgold,

ZBrushCore does not support plugins. So you can’t use ZTree with it.

Treefibers.zip is 404

you can download the fibers and the last version from GumRoad for free

Nevermind. Asked and answered few posts up.

Will this and your Terrain Tools for Windows work in the new ZBrush 4R8?

work for me!

this is one of the best plugins for zbrush!

THANK YOU - DARGELOS

I haven’t had the time to fully test R8 and how it works with these plugins but as long as I know they still work… I will probably update them next month anyway… Thanks for all the nice words

Thank you. I will hold off for the updates before I purchase to make sure.

hi… the link of leaves presets is broken.
where can I download it?

Thanks you

I did see where to install ZTree.zip a few posts up, but I don’t see where to install the other 3 zip files?

Hi, you can download ZTree from here : http://www.mediafire.com/file/0dd5x3jddb4i64c/Ztree.rar

For the plugin installation you have to proceed like this :

Inside the Zbrush folder located in ā€œProgram Files(x86)/Pixologicā€ enter to the ā€œZStartup/Zplugsā€ folder. Inside this folder paste ā€œZtree.zscā€ file and ā€œZtreeDataā€ folder you downloaded previously from the link. Close ZBrush et open it again, once it’s open locate the ā€œZpluginā€ menu at the top of the window and open ā€œZtreeā€.

I have a problem. when i press grow angle button it adds a branch but its very very tiny

can you show a picture? It should add a new branch from he ZS you had selected with the number of segments set by the slider BranchSegments and the angle set by BranchAngle. the length of the segments its relative to the parent segment but you can add some randomness using the LengthRandom slider.

Hi I have a question about where to put the files on Mac. I noticed you were using Windows an put the files in the Program Files folder. What is the equivalent on a Mac?

I actually found out where to put it: In the Applications folder/ZbrushOSX2018/Zstartup/Zplugs & Zplugs64 for anyone on a Mac trying to find where to the put the files.

I’m not able to install the current version of ztree to Zbrush 2018 on Windows. Is an update likely? It seems like a really neat plugin.
