Z4 Beta Testing By: Majid Ismaeily :)

gr888 work…nice render… :+1:

Last render with the rim light looks great. What kind of matcap did you use ? Any tips for achieving that look would be much appreciated! As always you work is just breathtaking and really inspirational

wo~~~~~,very nice model,i can not say nothing about it. wonderful and let me learn from you

Sir…what about a video tutorial on how to create realistic sculptures?

majid you are the best…:+1:

great work !!

did you use photoshop to blend the key and the rim light ?

Becouse when you put the rim light and you use BPR you’ll aways get a lighted front part of the face,I made really many tests and there is no way that to work on 1 pass,The logical explenation of this problem is to turn the shadows of the rim lights but then you get the shadows on the rim lights then you get the shadowing of the entire front part of the face and the key lights gets disapired.
the wired things are that when you have rim light you can’t avoid the lightning of the front part of the face even if you turn on the shadows.

The other wired thing also is that if you turn on the shadows on the rim ,the shadows get on the front part of the face and they dominate the light no matter how strong is the light, this domination of the shadows on the lights is so unrealistic in the BPR render,in the normal zbrush render anything is normal

the problem question …

PSTCHOART…thank you ! yea I used photoshop to composit layers…at the moment BRR shadow is work on just one light so you can get the result with adding more than one light…

I attached 2 zbrush project for both key and rim settings…what I changed is just the BPR setting…you can check mine and play with them to get what you want !
Something cool About Zbrush project (.ZPR) is that you can double click on it to open directly With Zbrush !

Cool, thanks for sharing the setup! I’ve been experimenting alot lately with bpr and lighting and it’s good to see some successful results for comparisons and to learn the secrets by examining the settings, thanks again

Hmmm? I couldn’t open the .ZPR files on my Mac for some reason.

Thanks for sharing so much, these render setting look great!

thank you very much. I have been messing around with lighting. Used the lighting tutorial from Julian_k. I used that tutorial and tweaked the settings. Thank you again for the files.

You need to go to the File menu (it’s a very small menu button inbetween the Edit and Layer menus). There you can open and save ZPR files.

Double clicking a ZPR doesn’t seem to work for me but hey, as long as I can load it, I’m happy.

Thank you very much for sharing majid :+1:
