What exactly is Organic Modelling?

Hey there!

I see the term “organic modelling” mentioned quite a bit. Usually it seems to refer to things like humans or natural figures, but I’ve also heard it can refer to human-made objects as long as they have some kind of human characteristics. So I am a little confused :stuck_out_tongue:

Is there a specific definition for it, that explains the difference between organic and non-organic? And is it important to acknowledge this difference when it comes to actual modelling (eg. is it harder to do one over the other)?

I appreciate any replies

organic modeling replates to such things as humans, animals and plants yu may of also heard of hard surface modeling, this in turn relates to such things as cars, planes, spaceships etc

hope that helps
