dang dude you really did make that gun with zsketches. damn man thats some wicked stuff. great design and awsome use of zbrush for this project…
Very nice - makes me question my preference for real-to-life guns, heh. Very nice indeed.
For what it’s worth, I REALLY appreciate you showing us a bit of your workflow on it. One of the things I struggle with the most is coming up with ideas for something like this so it’s great to see how someone uses Zbrush to just block out a complex mechanical shape. Thanks so much, and they look amazing! Great modeling and style!
Wow! amazing worksmall_orange_diamond
2 agentdeath thank u. All my works can be found here http://crashmgn.deviantart.com/
2 nerveink thanks pal . yep zsketching is a great tool not just for monsters and characters. I was sketching some vehicles also but can’y upload them because of the NDA. The main idea is try to develop some kind of vision for the models when u are able to see the nice form through all this spheres and btw zbrush vieport blurring is a great thing to help you.
2 hosch thank u!
2 Deim I’am really glad to hear such nice replies. Thanks a lot buddy. As for that ideas struggle u’ve mentioned, u know i’am struggling too and I can say for sure that when you are sitting and thinking smth like “Ohh i need to make smth cool i need to develop some great idea” u’ll probably end up with nothing As for myself I sometimes fell in to this trap too. The most convinient way of thinking is to start with the simple things when you start working and thinking you just start to think in the right direction and u may develop something nice much more easier just in some kind of the “step by step” manner.
2 -Gemin- thanks pal! appreciate
Yea with a good low poly, 5k to 8k is farely common in modern games, Some nice Normal maps and that great texture, I can see some epic fights in the future. haha anyways. Well you accomplished what you sought out to do. The presentation really did add a lot to make them seem convincing with all the little info details that you added
stunning weapons man, crazy designs
really nice work, can you show us how you rendered them?
ExtraCool Stuff mate!!! I love this kind of models!!!
My Compliments…
Bye
I have looked at this several times now and still getting goosebumps, I really do. The desing is simply amazing, goes from the screen directly into my mind, exploding the deatail all over my brain. Very impressive. x5
Some of the best looking detailed weapons I have ever seen. I was wondering why did you spend so much time pushing and pulling Verts in Maya when you already had a good simple base poly mesh ready that you created from your original zbrush quick sculpt? Why not take the simple box model you created im Maya back into Zbrush and sculpt all your details there and retopologize if nessessary? Wouldn’t that be easier and a lot faster?
Just wondering. Creating all those detailed and complex shapes in Maya is a pain as it is. No?
Ether way. It looks awesome. Great work man!
thanks man for the pics…!
i will now investigate further and give it a try , i ask because i hate re-topoing after the main scupt. You way seems to be a easier way to get a better mesh. and ultimately a better sculpt.i am always looking to speed up my workflow.
i wish you could just “paint” the topo and one click convert it to a mesh…
2 alesogil thnx pal
2 joe55 nothing special it’s a simple matcap from the matcap library gw_worn_silver.ZMT and some color correction in PS
2 madmatt big thanks!
2 goNE thanks a lot
2 mokthemagicman thnx a lot
u know if i’ve had a nice concept drawing at first it will be no problem for me to sculpt the whole thing in zbush but all i’ve had at the start is some blurry thoughts and crappy scetches. I’ve tried to sculpt the handgun in zbrush at first but i wasn’t happy with the result the design was pretty weak and then i’ve decided to make the whole thing in the old fashioned polygon modeling manner maybee it was just my own personal difficulty in z but anyway they look pretty cool and i made them in maya what else can i say.
here is some final things for this weapon set a chain sword and some knives

Wicked weapons!!
very cool designs
Badass designs!
Oh yum!!
Very impressive! What parts are separate objects? It almost looks like all the weapons are one cohesive piece, although there’s got to be some individual pieces. That’s some mad modeling though. Can’t wait to see more!
Sweet, boys and their toys. Where can I buy these guns? nice design… keep it up.
Great job!
