I thought I was the only one who put on my spiked boots and spiny hat and no pants. Geesh, trendsetter, I suppose.
Seriously though, your sculpt is fantastic! Great anatomy, great pose.

Thank you very much! That means a lot to me and inspires me to do better.
I want to apply a drawing, lighter style, more like a painting or a sketch or a Watercolor Painting.
This is just a try to focus on Achilles.
But I will make a picture with Mahnmut and Achilles. A tribute to “Ilium” by Dan Simmons.

A new try in new style…

Hi TM, This one is really special … i Love the look! More please!!!
Cheers, David
I prefer this version , amazing mood , almost like he’s just comming from a time-travel or hyperspeed thing. Good job !
@chalkman Many thanks! Your visit here is an honor to me!
@Malveillance I am very glad that you like it!
Now a biomechanical seat of a engineer. Inspired by H.R.Giger and Prometheus. Chapeau!
The engineer is still added.
I hope you like it!
Ciao,
TM
Cool
And now with engineer…

TM
…whatever…
I have changed the helmet and a few details of the engineer .
I will soon make a few concepts. (Inspired by H.R.Giger and Prometheus/Prometheus 2 “Paradise”)
What are their habitats ? Their normal houses ?
This is an interesting field for concepts.
Ciao,
TM
This is a beautiful artifact.
It deserves a better texturing-rendering. (an external engine probably)
Alien and Giger’s work has little to do with it. A pre Colombian style is also involved? BTW I don’t quite agree with Mealea. The space rider is a masterpiece of its kind and has little to do with the unfortunate use of the big white guys of prometheus. (I do agree on this, what a blunder).
Hi TM, this last work is very intriguing and provocative … I especially love the rider/pilot.
Cheers, David
@MealeaYing
Many thanks, that means a lot to me. I’m a big fan of your art and you give me a lot of motivation!
I love stories, which occur when viewing an image.
Unfortunately, many have forgotten how pictures tell the stories.
@michalis
Many thanks for your interest. You’re absolutely right about the texturing / rendering !
The seat is a 2 hour sketch, like a charcoal drawing, before starting to paint with oil. Do you know that when the hand is too slow for the ideas that you have in your head? I would like four hands, or more.
No one is like H.R. Giger, but he is a huge inspiration. And you can not copy it, but you can benefit from his ideas.
I find the approaches in the film “Prometheus” very good, just because they leave a lot of room for interpretation.
There is still air upwards, but it makes me curious as to how it goes.
Incidentally, I am firmly of the opinion that an alien habitat should look like the sphere in your post #770!
@chalkman
Many thanks, my friend! Your kind words mean a lot to me. Many, many thanks!

TM
P.S. Sorry for my “Google English”.
Again a concept. A kind of glider on which one is lying on the belly. The head looks down and hands stuck in the control bags.
The pilot gets all the information about his helmet display. (The red man is a placeholder. :D)

This is fantastic as well! What a great idea.
You know there is a contest for exactly what you are doing?
I think they want it in text though:
http://www.prometheus2-movie.com/news/1030
Michalis:
My problem with Prometheus was that they took that huge ancient (and VERY mysterious) body from Alien and turned it into nothing more than a space suit for a musclebound oaf with an attitude problem and POOF, great big mystery ends with big huge skinheads starting humanity, how cute. Ripply would have kicked skinhead guy in the crotch, blown up the whole planet and gone home in a bad mood to find her cat.
Tribun Maximus:
If you can come up with something with no skinheads or zombies and do it all in pictures you will win that contest even if you don’t enter it.
very nice and comfortable
congratulations
Wonderful piece ! And lovely render.
@MealeaYing
Many thanks , especially for the link!
@PFC666
Thank you! That means a lot to me!
@michalis
Thanks! I am glad that you like it!
Before I make the pilots, a small intermezzo. A spontaneous idea. I especially look forward to the next step.
A lot of pipes and panels.
I hope you like it!
